This weekend i attended my first Rhino BBQ! And it was great.

Its always nice to get to see ppl i havent seen in ages, and better than being in a club. Was great having a stack of veggie burgers to munch through, and even baked potatoes! (tho i had a bit of a chocking fit on mine). The punch was delicious too : )

Can't wait for the next one, really was great seeing old and new faces.

Indeed, i no longer have to stress about what a mess there is at work to fix, because behold, they decided to let me go after my 3 month probationary period. And to be honest, im atualy quite over the moon.

Ive worked hard at a lot of things lately, mainly becoming more positive in life (i know some of you will find it hard to believe im not lively and bouncey all the time, i like to hide my miserableness) and managing to be happy with myself, and ive been getting to grips with doing the things i want to do. Which are mainly the dull things of getting out of bed at a reasonable time, managing to keep the house nice and clean, not spending money on stupid things (thats taking a bit more effort).

But its the foundations of life, and i decided they finally needed to be stronger because i was fed up of things crumbling down all the time, and its myself that can held responisble for the state of my own life.

Yesterday morning i woke up really happy, got up at a great time, had a shower, coffee, breakfast and looked really smart. I'd ticked nearly all my boxes of how to have a great start to the day. I was so chuffed with myself, and pottered off to work with a clear head and a big smile.

After getting in and opening mail etc, i asked my boss to have a meeting with me at 10 to go over the new spreadsheet i finally had finished so we would finally have a grip on our main assets. I was so looking forward to it! Ii walked into the meeting room and sat down, wondering why my other boss was there. Well they went ahead and explained how they were going to let me go. They were very positive about it all, and basically told me to go find a job that will pay me a lot more to do something in my actual field of interest.

It was quite a shock, but i fully understood, and then had to clear my desk and leave there and then. I admit i was quite upset and wondering why i don't have waterproof mascara. I am always very passionate about my work, whatever i do, and it has been such a huge part of my life for the past 3 months.

Later that day i started to think about how great it would be to have so much time to work on my own life even more. To use all my positive energy and motivation that ive recently got a good grip of. (It helps also that not only will i get paid for 4 weeks notice, but i finally will have my mums pension next week and will feel very rich! and have a clear head to not spend it all in a month!)

So i managed to get up before 9 today, and it been good so far, ive just been a bit side tracked by the net. So now i am going to go lie in the bath, and then continue my great journey in life (probably by having breakfast and gutting my bedroom, or kitchen cupboards...or scrubbing the bathroom again...then maybe read my Organising book and set up Outlook to help me master the finer points of clearing the mind).

What a fantabulous plan! And very special to me, and completely bonkers to the rest of you!

Here's to a new life ! ( i would make a toast with some wine, but part of my positivity includes not being an alcoholic anymore wooohoo, tho admittedly i wont give it up, but i can see all the benefits i once saw of drinking lots of water instead )

Also i would like to say thanks to all my friends, you've all been there in one way or another...and i wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you! You're all stars, and thats why i enjoy having you all as part of my life.
