What are your thoughts?1 réponse 109 semaines

Hi Jamming
You will have to give us a call or on (09) 309 6967 or email to info@youthlaw.co.nz, we don't provide legal advice online coz there is always more info we need. I definately sounds like an unjustified dismissal and you have 90 days to lodge a grievance. The amount to request includes thjings like loss of wages and also hurt and humiliation etc. We can give you heaps more info but you'll need to call. Cheers

I wish to write to my previous employer about loss of income due to him firing me without any warnings and changing my hours from set hours to on call without a contract. Do you have any ideas on what amount i should request? Im going to write to him to request he comes to a mediation meeting so i would appreciate any ideas on what to put in my letter. Are you able to confirm what warnings are to be given? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi yah with all the disputes going on about the "boy racer" issue any chance of you people puting some of the more common rules up for the youth to read. It would probably be well received by them so they know exactly what to do if pulled up by the police. Eg. The copy of When you have your encounter with the police it is not always easy but. Be polite and respectfull Stay calm and in control of your words, body language and emotions. etc.
I hope you don't mind me sayn this as this was off a paper in youthlaw. It might help hopefully as we are sitting on a powderkeg with this and they need help. Im sori fior butting in and you paople do a good job. Take care.
Kia Ora,
I'm the new Legal Education Coordinator here at YouthLaw. I'm looking for a number of young people to make short films about different aspects of the law. You'll get to decide what to film and how, who to have in it, and as long as everything's all legal, the video will go on our website.
Any interested people please email me at ben@youthlaw.co.nz for more info.
Cheers
Ben

Hi there
I work for Advanced Training Academy and just wanted to say thanks so much to Colin from Youth Law for making the time to come for the seminar.
Students said it was absolutely great and thanks alot for all the information that they received. Some students turned up just after the seminar was over and wished that they had been there as the topic was very close to home for them.
Thanks again.
Cheers. Iva Henry

hi there,
I'm not under 25 but I do support any legal service that will help the youth of today in the societies we live in. I'm an expat kiwi living in Aust.
i wouldnt be suprised if they MP that attacked you was a close minded ignoramus like Jim Anderton.
At the moment, any young person can purchase drugs from a tinny house, there is no age restriction.
When i was at school it was easier to get cannabis than it was to get cigarettes, the reason being that current drug laws make this the norm.
Schools are more interested in tackling so called cannibis problems then they are interested in tackling real issues like bullying which runs rampant threw New Zealand, and causes many teens to commit suicide every year, ive seen it myself multiple times.
Current law states that if you have over so many grams of cannabis you will be charged with supplying, regardless of wether you were supplying or not, this breaches basic human rights?!
What is Youth Law actively doing to change this unjust so called 'law'?
Should youth continue to have absolutely no respect for the law what so ever, because of stupid laws like these?
To Misskettie
tried to post a reply but you have age restrictions set up and it blocked our reply.
YouthLaw team
Hey there
