Opportunities for bands to perform.
Opportunities for young people to hear bands play.
Opportunites for venues to host music events.
Opportunities for youth organisations to run gigs.
Opportunities for young people to learn about running events.
YCP does this by...
...running weekly performances
...supplying bands with backline, PA and tech support
...sourcing bands for other events and concerts
...paying bands for playing (if you're good enough to play... you're good enough to pay)
...training volunteers and organisations
supporting host organisations to successfully run events.
YCP is part of 4YP (the Christchurch City Council Youth Entertainment Project). 4YP is all about supporting young people through events. 4YP runs over 70 events each year including Youth Cafe performances, dance parties, big events etc. Check us out at www.4yp.co.nz or call Chris: 03 343-6243
