NY/NJ Celtic Supporters Dinner Dance - The Date is set!
Info just in!! The New York / New Jersey Celtic Supporters Association Charity Dinner Dance on December 6th. It will take place in Ricardos in Queens. George McClusky will be the Guest Of Honor for the Dance. We will be honoring John Kelly, owner of The Parlour Bar and home of the NYCSC with the USA Celt Of The Year. Also being honored is Enda Keenan , owner of Jack Demseys Bar and home of the Manhattan No.1 CSC with the Patrick Sweeney Memorial Award. Two fine honorees who have worked so tirelessly for the members of the clubs and all the many visitors who visit NYC. This year all the money raised is going to www.friendsofalandoherty.com. Alan is a young lad from Ireland who was born without a lower jaw. He has been going through a series of operations here in NY to give him the jaw he has always wanted. He is the first one in the world to survive through infancy and have this groundbreaking surgery. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KI6e8. He is Celtic daft and all the money raised for his operations has been donated through many charity events and fundraiser's in Ireland. We would like to do our bit for a truly courageous member of the Celtic Family. Tickets for the Dance will be $100 and this includes a 5 hour open bar from 8pm to 1am. The cocktail hour will be from 8-9pm with a full sit down meal to follow. We will also be selling raffle tickets. The first prize will be a weeks holiday to next years Celtic Convention in Las Vegas with tickets to the Dinner Dance.(flights from anywhere in the USA or Canada). The second prize is a 32" LCD flat screen TV and the 3rd prize will be a signed Celtic top. We will have other prizes to give away on the night of the dance. Tickets will be sold at $20. We will also be doing a journal for the dance with white pages at $100, green pages at $250 and gold pages at $500. Live entertainment on the night will be provided by The Wild Colonial Bhoys. It will be a great night to aid a great cause.
