- Waking Up East is an Alternative Rock band from Orange County, NY. The band was formed in early September of 2007. Members include: singer/guitarist Jay Indorato, bassist Tommy Morse, lead guitarist Tom Hanley, and drummer Christian Cotter. The quartet immediately began writing in November 2007. In April 2008 the band began recording their first album “34 Miles To Empty” at Silent Owl Studios located in Florida NY. Joined by the production team of John Collura and Paul Carabello (both formally of the Rock band The Ataris). The album was finished in June 2008. Armed with a full list of new songs the band started playing out in July 2008.
