Dear Activist
Here at the Viva! office, we have resources, expertise, experience and, of course, a compelling and irrefutable message - but unless we can get that message to the public, we will never achieve our aims. That’s where you come in. Your commitment, knowledge of your local area, and hands-on effort really communicates with people and is very much appreciated!
If you’re in an Animal Rights group, or would like to start one, email back and let us know – we’ve got lots of free posters, leaflets and magazines you can use for your campaign.
If you have a few hours to spare over a weekend, you could leaflet in your local town centre. Or maybe you could hold a veggie stall at your school during lunchtimes?
We’ve got lots of great leaflets and posters that are desperate to be out and about raising awareness of animal suffering and encouraging people to go veggie. If you have any ideas of ways to use them, all you have to do is email back and let us know how you want to get involved and then we’ll send you as many leaflets as you like – free of charge!
There are a number of things that you can do either individually or as part of a group that have a real and positive affect on reducing animal abuse:
* Order leaflets and guides from Viva! (free of charge) which you can give out to your family and friends .
* Make a display using eye catching posters, photos and drawings and have a petition to sign and leaflets for people to take away. You could have the display in you school or local library, sports centre or community centre.
* Write letters to your local newspaper, MP or even the Prime Minister explaining why you are outraged at the animal welfare conditions in this country or explaining why you are veggie.
* Ensure your school offers decent veggie food (encourage your friends to try it) if it doesn’t start your own “Veggie Lunch” campaign group!
* Find a teacher who is up for having a Viva! School Speaker come to your school to do a talk in one of your lessons about vegetarianism and get them to arrange that with us.
* Fundraise for the animals – make others aware of how poorly many animals are treated and ask for donations to help stop it!
* Create your own Animal Rights Website.
* Start your own Animal Rights Group.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Be a hero for the animals

Warning for the vegans out there: Be careful when you buy anything form the Co-op bakery! They're currently selling an apple pie that says "suitable for vegans" on the front, yet on the back it claims it may contain dairy products.
I've complained once already, with no response. I've just sent off another complaint, so here's hoping they'll sort it out.
Hii!
I fellow animal lovers ... I made this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&h... It's the first time I've tried this, let me know what you think xxx
I want to mention some of the brands that are being very good and not using animal ingredients in their products (I've e-mailed them all to find out):
Vosene hair range
Umbro women's perfumes - for any veggie/vegans that are having a hard time finding suitable perfume
Veet hair removal products
Adidas body spray
Colgate toothpastes
Imperial Leather products
Original Source - love the Lime shower gel, myself.
MOST Simple products - watch out!
MOST Kinder products - " "
MOST Palmolive products - " "
Just wanted to mention them, as a lot of feedback is negative and so here's some good feedback to those that deserve it.
To Je-Je-Jess,
I'm not having a go or anything, but I just wanted to point out that we're not made to eat meat. If we were, then why can't we eat it raw like other animals? Why don't we have natural hunting senses?
Most people cringe away from watchign animals being slaughtered. If we were MADE to eat meat, then why would that happen?
If our teeth were made to eat meat, can they cut through the flesh?
No, they can't. We were not made to eat meat at all.
And saying we are wasting meat. Is a load of rubbish.
(:
exactly. how do you think the millions of people who were born and raised vegetarian have survived? im sure theyre all perfectly fine. dickhead.
