- Verfield are a 3 piece rock band hailing from the majestic Limerick City. The band in its current inception formed in late 2006, when Alan Donnelly and Paddy Murphy were introduced to one Andru Quinn. It was love at first practice and since then the band has worked tirelessly to try and get their distinctive sound heard throughout not only Ireland but the world. The band began recording a 4 track E.P in late 2007. It was around this time that the bandmates, who were involved with the running of M.I.L.F in daffys basement, met another 2 bands who shared their desire to stand out from the crowd and make some waves. Those bands were Qazi Qazi Khan and Lost Highway (Now Black Star). In March, Verfield played a storming gig in Bakers Underground in the lead up to Great Friday '08, with local limerick mainstays, Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters and Idle Hands and later that month played a storming set at Great Friday itself. Verfield are currently finishing the e.p and are beginning work on their first studio album, which should be available sometime later this year.

Verfield Need Your Help!!!
To anyone and everyone out there,
Verfield need your help. If you would like to see Verfield live at any point this year we need outside sources, something akin to a street team, requesting Verfield songs on national stations, telling your favorite rock venues about us, telling any contacts you may have in the music biz, Managers, Booking agents etc. about us. Finding gigs in modern day ireland is not easy and what now with the recession less people are going out but with a little support from you, our fans, we can try and build up a decnet tour this summer.

The Ashtown Studio Sessions
Well the album is finally done. We got 11 tracks down in just over 5 hours, hooray! All live, all raw and pretty much all in 1 take. The album in its pre mastered stage has been compared to the raw rock albums of the late 60's and early 70's. The producer, Tommy is a pure genius who made us feel so comfortable and got the best possible performance from us we could give. Hoping to have it fully mastered before the year is out, however the pre-mastered tracks are up here on bebo aswell as videos in the flashbox from Blue2Black galway, and Great Friday 08, so please, enjoy,

Great Friday turns out great and Nerves continues to climb
What can be said about The great friday gig? well a whole lot but its not our place to say it we think it went astoundingly well as did the entire festival with amazing performances from all the bands it was a historic day for limerick music and can only lead to bigger and better things in the future!!! we Would like to thank all involved for making it possible and every person in the crowd for just going so mental and making the day a huge success!!! Thank You
In other news our single nerves is now at number 8 in the Irish Independent Download charts this follows on from absolutely no work on our behalf to promote it (unlike media whore sell-outs qazi qazi khan
we love em really) so we're chuffed and might get off our asses to promote it now hehehe.
There is a shady bootleg dvd of verfields gig at great friday going around i would urge people to be aware that Clom is most definately in the tent and there may or many not be some bald guy getting brained

hey guys, its niall here from the band Hybris! were a Derry based metal band, drawing influences from the likes of machine head, slipknot, SYL, testament etc. were in the process of networking, gettin a few contacts and doing our part in tearing the faces off crowds all over Ireland in the name of Irish metal! lol we were wondering if there was any free slots or contacts around your area that we could get into contact with to get giging down there with you? if you get us gigs down there well be more than happy to get you in up here, kinda foreign exchange shiot you know? so it works out best for us all
