Me, Myself, and I
Hey, I'm Darren Shan.

Until recently I was pretty much a normal kid. I got good grades. I did OK with the girls.

But then the Cirque Du Freak rolled into town - and things started getting freaky.

I met some real-life Vampires, and learned about an ancient war between the Vampiresv and the Vampaneze.

And to cut a long story short, turns out I'm the "chosen one" who can end the war forever.

So now I'm 16 going on immortal and the stage is set for an epic battle between good and evil.

Pretty awesome huh?

  • Poster Competition Congratulations!!!

    Hey Everybody!

    To anyone who entered the Vampires Assistant Poster Competition over the last five weeks, a huge WELL DONE...

    The standard of posters was sooo high and it must have been tough for everyone to choose a winner each week. And to anyone who took the time to vote, WELL DONE to you too! and thanks! :)

    To anyone who made a shortlist on any week, and to anyone who won one of the weeks comps, CONGRATULATIONS and make sure you keep an eye out for when we announce the overall competition winner.... Bet you all can't wait to find out who wins??

    Thanks for all the help with this competition, I really couldn't have done it without all the effort you guys made! :)

  • Destiny

    Do you believe in destiny??? Darren always wanted an adventure - well he got it! And if he had the right blood or the good blood does that mean that sooner or later he would have become a vampire? It was always written.

    Was he always going to go to the Cirque du Freak? No matter what obsticle was in his way, do you think he would have been there? Or maybe it was the Cirque that came to town especially to see Darren?

    And what about Steve, his BEST friend's, role in all of this? How does he fit into the story of Darren's destiny - is it Steve's destiny to be the anti-hero in the story and can good win over evil in the end?

    It's a strange one isn't it? If we are to believe all the old stories then aren't vampires all supposed to be evil in the first place? So what does that make Darren...a good evil creature??? Confusing eh!! Destiny is a strange thing! What do ye think???? wb
