  • If Hippos were made of spongecake what would you do?

    1. Conquer Africa, flood the Sahara with tea and hold a massive tea party.
    2. Go to the zoo, break into the Hippo enclosure and ride the spongecake Hippos!
    3. Start a campaign to SAVE THE SPONGECAKE from exctinction. Possibly using jam.
    4. Raise money for scientific research into the biscuit-y nature of Rhinos.
    5. Hippo hippo hippo hippo hippo hippo hippo hippo it's a funny word.

    In other news...

    I'm writing book 8 in the Jimmy Coates series. It's going pretty slowly because I'm trying to work on another book at the same time, and I'm only really good at doing one thing at a time. Oh well. Lesson learned.

    Gotta go. More from me soon.

  • BRISTOL!

    Bristol! I went to Bristol!

    It was way fun.

    Hi to everyone at Redland Green School. Wotcha. Thanks for the warm welcome and for coming up with such brilliantly insane story ideas. Particular 'hellos' go to Hockey Stick Girl and Max from the front row.

    The rest of this week is really busy for me - it's World Book Day on Thursday! So I'll be popping in to a few different schools, mostly in London, then I'm doing a couple of signings at Brent Cross (in WHSmiths and Borders) on Saturday (7th March). Come if you want! It's free to get something signed, but obviously you have to pay for a book if you don't have one already.

    I'll be at WHSmiths (Brent Cross) from midday (7th March) and at Borders from 3.30pm.

    Erm, what else? Oh yeah - I just found out my passport has expired! How annoying is that?! But at least it means I can finally replace the terrible picture I've been stuck with for the last ten years.

    Ten years. Oh my god. That makes me old. I've had a passport for ten years and now it's expired. Woah. OK, I need a moment here. I might have to lie down.

    Wake me for breakfast.
