BATTLE OF THE BANDS – Lisburn HEAT 1 (09/09/09)
Well we managed to win our heat up in Lisburn, With good comments from Judges Terri Hooley ( Good Vibrations Records & responsible for bands such as the Undertones), Tommy McMeekin (Soundlines) and Deano (The Chevvys).
We got some positive feedback on our set with comments from Tommy McMeekin
“Firstly the bad points……..That’s it! I thought it was all excellent…”
and from Terri Hooley

On finding out we won Terri also commented

Sounds Like Summer Review From the Heats

…Donegal four-piece, Turbulent Eddy. They performed a selection of covers by the likes of Kings of Leon and Stereophonics, both big undertakings vocally but their frontman was well up to the task, as he was the task of entertaining the audience with his witty repartee in between songs. Original tracks like ‘Make Believe’ and the anthemic Green Day-like ‘Enemy’ showed that this is a band with promise as well as charm.

This Summer Soundbunker Productions is Holding a 3 stage festival in the Pint Bar Eden Quay Dublin on Saturday August 21st from 11am till late that night. We are hosting the Busking stage downstairs. On the second level will be the Main stage and the 3rd stage is on the roof in our Beer garden stage. All the stages are fully supplied with professional back line. And are being recorded into Pro-tools 7.4. All bands that perform for us and meet our requirements will receive free food and a free pro-tools recording of there performance on stage. We are also offering 5 days free recording to the band that can sell the most tickets. This is a great event to get involved in and if your band/solo are interested in performing for us please mail sounbunkerproductions@yahoo.ie with 2 contact numbers and 2 email addresses and a link to you page(s)..........

Please note that the bellow details may change due to certain circumstances 28th August 2 stage Festival 1 in Door and 1 Out Door. Showcasing bands from all over Ireland of all ages. Venue is Based in Glasnevin 2 minutes from Phibsboro (Venue to be announced later) Starting at 12pm and running till the early hours that night. **Bands will be required to sell a certain amount of ticket to secure there place in the festival** We are giving 40 minutes to each act but this does include your set up. all equipment will be supplied on the day it will be just the minimum equipment needed from each band like leads ,Snare,Kick,sticks etc. To apply please copy and paste the application in our blog on our page fill it in and email back to us. We are only looking for a certain amount of bands so places will fill up fast. ............
