- THREAT SIGNAL arose from the filthy, industrialized east end of Hamilton ON Canada, in late 2003. A detuned, syncopated, melodic metal machine, THREAT SIGNAL combines the complexity of thrash metal with a more contemporary groove sound involving technical rhythms, and melodic musical passages.
In 2005 THREAT SIGNAL inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records, after being on the road supporting UNDER REPRISAL for over 2 years, they entered the studio in Nov 2008 to record the second album VIGILANCE with vocalist/producer Jon Howard (Threat Signal/Arkaea).
“VIGILANCE takes every element of Under Reprisal and pushes it to the next level” explains Howard. “I’m completely ecstatic how far the band has progressed, and I couldn’t be more proud of the new record.” VIGILANCE was released on Nuclear Blast Records Sep 8th 2009.

Threat Signal's 2006 Under Reprisal debut was produced by Christian Olde Wolbers of Fear Factory fame.
When it came time to create their sophomore effort, Vigilance, vocalist Jon Howard decided he wanted a crack at being the man in charge.
"I chose to self-produce the album and record most of it in my home studio in Hamilton," Howard says. "I knew exactly how I wanted the album to sound, and I did not want to give anyone else control."
