Me, Myself, and I
Born in a dark, run-down basement studio in Portsmouth, The Visitors have come a long way since their early days of university house parties and intimate front room gigs.

Taking their name from their very first jam song, The Visitors have always been about the energy, which they create through their live performances. The band’s evolution is heavily reflected in their music, which is a constant reminder of their musical journey through life.

Describing themselves as a Folk-Rock band with an Americana twist, their music has been compared to Counting Crows, Whiskeytown and Wilco.

Having enjoyed a successful few years with their music being used by Sony Computer Entertainment during the launch campaign of the Playstation 3 and distributed on demos in stores in over 101 countries worldwide. The Visitors debut album Travelling was released in 2009, gaining critical acclaim. Meanwhile, the video for the band’s first single, Another Day made it to the top 100 on the Sony Vidzone chart in its first week alone, making the “2010 Ones to Watch” feature on the homepage of the Vidzone site.

The band has supported the likes of Ocean Colour Scene, Nizlopi, Frank Turner, The Bees, Nick Harper and The Commitments in the past.

Press quotes:

“Distinctive sound, amazing both live and on record, and you can't say fairer than that". Tom Robinson, BBC6 Music Introducing…

“This Portsmouth six-piece has a gem of a song with Another Day. The title track from its debut album chimes in with a catchy chorus that you will be singing hours later…watch out for this band” Acoustic Magazine

"Both the name of the band and the album title, 'Travelling' give clues to a theme running through the ten tracks that make up the album… that of the journey. The result is an album that takes you out of yourself" Fatea Magazine

"Their voices are so different that somehow it comes together, particularly when they share vocals on ’Another Day’ the song that first captured my heart when I heard it …” Folk & Roots Magazine
