close About Me

Tagline
"You're twisting my melon, you're getting me all mixed up."
Me, Myself, and I
"Taking experimentalism as their religion and a healthy disrespect for convention, fashion and dogma as their ethos, The Twisted Melons continue to tear up the genre rulebook to create truly modern psychedelic post-alternative electro-prog-pop."
EMUBands

Some bands are easily defined by genres but others - such as The Twisted Melons - are hard to label. Prog rock, pop and metal are just a few of the influences in the Johnson brothers' music."
Scottish Sunday Mail

"Superb use of technology to deliver a perfect eclectic mixture of sounds. A must see/hear band."
Flat2M Promotions

"The bands live shows over the last two years have brought plaudits from many including Franz Ferdinand, who described them as one of the emerging bands from Glasgow to watch out for."

UK:O ne - The New Music Collection - from Coke Music

Our track "Chains" is available now from iTunes on this Coke Music compilation album alongside tracks from Bo Pepper, My Luminaries, The Happiness, Go Home Productions, Public Symphony and many more.

All the artists were selected by XFM's Eddy Temple-Morris and we were surprised to find that we are the only Scottish band on the album.

    Hi there,
We’re contacting you today to let you know about our up and coming magazine ‘Glasgo Bands’! Our current magazines: Glasgo Nitelife and Edinbra Nitelife are published and distributed throughout Glasgow and Edinburgh advertising the best nightlife spots in each city. Due to high demand we’ve decided it’s time to provide an advertising form for some of the best up and coming artists in the country. This way they can gain the recognition and exposure they deserve. With no signed performers and no professional input, this magazine is designed to promote those select few artists who have the ability and confidence to make it in a very difficult industry. Our 32 page A5 sized magazine is the newest and simplest way for performers to promote themselves. We are therefore contacting you as a potential addition to our first ‘Glasgo Bands’ publication which still has 12 full pages available.

12,000 of these magazines will be distributed throughout all major hotels, universities, colleges, shopping centres and gig venues in Glasgow over a 6 month period.
Keeping with our low cost policy on publications pricing, we remain the most competitive magazine advertising media in the country.

So get in touch if you think you’re good enough and let Glasgo flourish!
