www.TheSite.org aims to be the first place all young adults turn to when they need support and guidance through life. We believe all young people have the capacity to make their own decisions and life choices, provided they have access to high quality, impartial information and advice. We don't tell anyone how to lead their lives - we just believe everybody should have all the information they need to make their own decisions.

Yesterday morning saw the third phase of the Respect? Campaign launched on London's Fleet Street - a place famous for its connections to the British press. Four members of the Respect? Young People's Advisory Group were joined by former BBC broadcaster Martyn Lewis, and a HUGE newspaper front-page prop, which they pushed their faces through to literally put young people at the heart of the news.

The Respect? campaign is a group of young people who are taking a stand against the negative stereotypes developed by the media. If you want to get involved and make your opinion matter you can help us out by pledging to take a stand and speak out: www.pledgebank.com/RespectSpeakUp.

Our goal is to get 1,000 young people making the pledge, so spread the word!
The Guardian newspaper posted an article online about the launch:

So, you know what you've got to do - comment on the story online and send it to all your friends! It's your news, and it's time to be heard! Who will be first...?!

Love them or hate them, social networking websites and discussion boards are taking over the virtual world. But what do they mean to you? Do they make your social world go round or can you just not see what all the fuss is about?

Let TheSite.org know if you think social networking sites are necessary, fun or a pain in the backside by taking part in our Poke That! survey.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry about the long silence! Hopefully I'll be able to update this page more regularly from now on.

One thing I wanted to let you all know about is TurfWar, the new flash game on TheSite.org. You can find it on our site at www.thesite.org/turfwar.

The other is that you can now raise funds for YouthNet, the charity behind TheSite.org, by surfing the web using our Everyclick search page. You can find out more at: http://www.youthnet.org/getinvolved/....

    Hope everyone's having a great week :D
