The Mix Radio will be a brand new online radio station launching in January 2009.

The station is aimed as ever at 15 to 18 year olds who enjoy discovering new music, listening to music & love to take control of something new.

Whilst there are many radio stations online that aim at teenagers, we hope to bring you something new & exciting. The Mix Radio will have live shows daily presented by boys & girls who are of the same age as those who we are aiming at.

We'll be playing the best mix of music ranging from the current top 40 to new & emerging artists. As well as all this, we'll be bringing you unsigned talent from across the UK as part of "The Next Big Thing" and will do our very best to entertain our listeners.

At present, we are also hoping to get a grant from the Big Lottery Fund which will enable us to do more things with the radio station if we get the grant. Any updates regarding this will be posted as / when relevant.

  • We're Gonna Kick Ass

    On Monday, 2nd February at 7pm GMT, The Mix Radio makes it's debut on the world wide web.

    JP will be launching The Mix Radio on the night and is excited about it all "The launch is getting ever closer and I am really excited, especially as I get the priviledge to launch the station but it is going to be great with a new timeslot, new content and more new music.".

    You can tune in on launch night with JP to hear from our new presenters, you can also win by entering our launch night competition too. Plus, as usual you'll hear the news that matters to the UK, on the half hour.

    There'll be lots of new music, with your requests, dedications and well a lot more really. The launch is getting closer as JP says, so if you're currently listening to another net station, make the switch to us on Feb 2nd.

    Following up to the launch in February, there'll be a week of test transmissions at the end of January, watch out for more information on this next week.

  • Launch Date Confirmed

    The Mix Radio is coming. The internet is about to get a brand new station aimed at 16 to 30 year olds.

    There'll be live radio shows daily, presented by those in their teens many of which have done this loads of times of before. You'll also see the return of JP & DJ Patchy with their popular shows and we welcome back TMR's resident club DJ; Daniel Frost too.

    There's lots of exciting things to come on The Mix Radio this year including BIG competitions, events & thats just the beginning. You'll be able to, for the first time ever with us, interact with all our presenters by sms and of course e-mail plus you get to rate the music with The Mix Radio too.
