This one will be brief.
We need to say a huge thank you to Highway 67 for organizing the Dundalk Music Awards. It felt rather special to be a part of such an amazing event. The Dundalk music scene has been thriving the past few years and it was due some credit - Highway allowed this to happen. Our John won best guitarist and as I mentioned on stage he was without doubt a deserving recipient. He has taken to his instrument like a fish to water. That's a shit simile, hang on... like a thirsty child to it's mothers tits. That's better. Beyond being a great guitarist he also pushes us to do better and he drives us in our lovely jeep named 'Jenny' to all our gigs. We honestly wouldn't be the band we are without him. Before I start to getting to deep and declaring my undying love for the sexy man I'll rap this up. We have lots of gigs coming up. We have lots of new songs being written. We have new shoes. We have a manager. Joe has crabs (that's a joke - I hope) So follow us... we're having fun maaaan.
Throw Parties, Not Grenades.
Much Love,

I was meant to post this last week.
It’s Arthur Guinness day. The sun shines bright but there’s still that nip in the air to remind you where you are. I haven’t always been so proud of my country but I’m starting to get it. Ireland is so laid back... it doesn’t try to be the best. It doesn’t intent to offend anyone but at the same time it’s not afraid to get its balls out and ask ‘they’re pretty big, right?’ It’s not candy coated like other nations; it’s real, it’s raw and it’s rock n’ roll. Today is for everyone Irish: everyone who’s Great-Granddad was Irish, everyone who’s Great-Granddad knew someone Irish, everyone who’s been to Ireland, everyone who owns some Waterford crystal or kissed the Blarney stone, everyone who’s ever trekked towards a rainbow in the hope of finding a leprechaun sitting on a pot of gold smoking a pipe, everyone except the English! I’m joking of course. Tonight we shall all embrace this wonderful country as we crash together pints of the black stuff that we have all grown so fond off and tomorrow will shall worry about how it plans on coming out.
Tonight unfortunately the Thieves will be in their separate locations; which saddens me slightly... I’ll get over it. Tomorrow however we play a support slot for Frantic Jack http://www.myspace.com/franticjack who are releasing their EP in Brubakers. We’ve never played there before and I for one have never even seen a band play there so don’t really know what to expect; we can all go get wasted after anyway. Then on Saturday we’re playing alongside most of the local music scene at the Jamburger Music Festival which I am pissing my little knickers about! It’s going to be fucking brilliant! Tickets are 20squid which seems like a lot but when you consider that you’d pay 10 quid to see three of these guys play the Store it’s nothing really. I don’t know how many acts are performing but the Annas Chamber lads seem to reckon it’s going to go on for about nine hours; I’ma get wasted. Whelan’s was amazing! We didn’t get a huge crowd but they still went nuts. The band who supported us were class and you should all check them out http://www.myspace.com/wecutcorners very decent lads. The Rapport we’re also meant to play but Sean wrote a blog explaining what happened so I’ll not hold it against them. They’re also decent lads. One more thing; our manager Adam is home so we’re hopefully going to start flapping our wings and flying around the country (could be the funniest image ever, next album cover perhaps?) keep watch and come see us. Also, feel free to comment on anything I say in these blogs because I’d feel like a table tennis bat in a leprosy ward if no one was reading them.
Show love, not testicals.
Peace,

Perhaps it's time for a blog? Yes.
After quite a bit of fucking about we've decided to go ahead with the Whelan's gig which will be on September 21st; we'll let you know all about this when we know the craic. We played at Johnny's 21st the other night (Johnny is Joe's older brother; Joe is our basest... for those of you who didn't already know) It was brilliant! They'd set up a huge stage made out of scaffolding, ladders, wood, nails and just about everything else they could find in their garage. It was sketchy but looked the bizz. When the sun fucked off we stuck on a number of rather dramatic lights and a smoke machine. At one point we were blasting through a track and I squinted my eyes and for a split second it felt like we were playing Wembley Arena... my dream came swiftly to an end when Joe's Mother informed us that a Gard had called to the door saying there had been 7 complaints from neighbors about the noise, adding "He thinks you're really good though" we went inside without a fight and got really drunk; the rest is history.
Tonight we return to Courtney's. It's quite a significant show for us as last time we played there was Joe's first show with the band. He's better now. We all are. We have a set we're exited to play and hopefully that will come across when we hit the stage. It's also Chris Rocks' birthday and we have a few treats to make our show extra amazing! ha! It's a fiver at the door and you get a concession price into Amber after; I'm sure we'll all head out. We'll kick off at about 9:00.
One more thing. Myself, Daymo and John are heading to Lanzarote on Sunday; Joe is going to school. Hate dah! This will have us out of action for a bit but when we return our manager should be home and we will be ready torip your cocks offrock your socks off. Keep up.
Shoot photos, not people.
Peace,
