Hello friends! It's Christmas....nearly, and this is "The Christmas club." We can’t promise that we invented the name, but hey, Its Christmas....

We are a bunch of dreamers and schemers who believe in something much more beautiful than what the advertisers tell us.

Christmas is a wonderful time and each of us have the chance to share the true beauty of it’s meaning with others. While so many of us have been used to getting lots of presents and eating ridiculous amounts of food at Christmas, it’s a sad fact that so many kids across the world won’t even have a home or food let alone a stocking full of presents.

So, we have a few ideas...they may not change the world, but they will change the lives of a bunch of wonderful African children this Christmas.

    Idea 1-
    Ask our family, friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, wife/husband, dog, postman etc to give 25%, 50% or 75% of what they would expect to spend on us, to Children in Africa. Its as simple as that. Imagine how much of a difference even a few of us could make together by doing this….

    Idea 2-
    Instead of buying lots of chocolate, socks, perfume and a Jamie Oliver cook book etc for our family and friends, lets buy them alternative presents….e.g A goat for an African family, clean water for a family, or a voucher to throw a Christmas party for Street kids.     'Abaana' (see www.abaana.org) is a Charity working in Uganda to bring restoration to children who have been abducted and to give a home, education, and healthcare to children who live on the streets. Lets join together in justice and love to bring hope to some African children this Christmas.
