The Answer (Official Bebo Page) <TheAnswerROCK>

The Answer are four lads hailing from Downpatrick in Northern Ireland.

Raised on a heady diet of Led Zeppelin, Free, The Who and The Black Crowes, The Answers contemporary take of bluesy, riff heavy hard rock is starting to turn heads. The band spent last year touring with Alterbridge, The Darkness, Deep Purple, Sound Explosion and The Tokyo Dragons and making their debut album. At a recent London gig none other than Jimmy Page stood and watched their set from side of stage and theyve already played at a Phil Lynott memorial benefit gig in Dublin as Lynotts mother is a big fan. So big in fact that she allowed Waters to be the first since Lynotts death to open his bass case and play the revered black iconic bass axe! Its the same black bass that appears in the original video to Keep Believin.

Their new album, 'RISE', is now available through all good record stores and download sites.

Updates in 08
Hello folks, a few exiting updates for you...

The Answer: Real Guitar Heroes

At this years MIDEM '08, Activision had an open listening session to pick one track to go on the next 'Guitar Hero' game. Out of hundreds of hopefuls, The Answer's "Never Too Late" won and will be included in the next 'Guitar Hero' release. Soon fans will be able to pay homage to the Downpatrick four while rocking out in living rooms across the globe!

International Acclaim

The Answer are making waves around the world.
In Japan they have been voted as the number 2 new artist in 2007 by influential Japanese "Player" magazine. The number 1 act is a domestic act so that means The Answer are the number 1 international new artist. Domo arigato to all the fans in Japan! Also, at last weeks Spanish Kerrang! rock awards, The Answer came 5th in the category of best new artists. Muchas gracias to all of you in Spain!

Good job boys!

A message from Cormac
How ya doin folks,

Cormac here dropping you a few quick lines before we all strap ourselves in and take the plunge into the new year and beyond. If its anything like this year then bring it on. A few highlights include..finally making it to Australia, Korea and Japan where we somehow managed to sell a load of records without ever having played there. We did a few low profile gigs with some up and coming young talent such as Aerosmith, The Eagles of Death Metal and a wee band called The Rolling Stones. We played every European Summer festival that our beloved sprinter would allow us to get to making it as far North as Bergen and Oslo, as far South as Florence and Madrid, as far East as Belgrade and Istanbul and as far West as....sunny Galway.

So we've made alot of friends all over the world, but lets not forget the home front which as usual didn't disappoint. We had a great tour of Ireland and the U.K. with the Winnebago deal which gave us a chance to play in front of alot of people who have been there from the very beginning and to whom we are eternally grateful. We also played Download, Hyde Park Calling, a couple of Irish Shows with The Who, Chepstow Castle with U.F.O. and if that wasn't enough already..just the other day we got to jam with my favourite singer in the world Paul Rodgers. I know what I'll be talking about in my local this Christmas eve.

2007 has been quite simply an amazing year for us 4 boys from Northern Ireland and we owe alot of our success to you guys. Expect to see us on your doorstep in the very near future playing lots of songs that none of you have ever heard before. So until next year, have a mulled wine on us and don't be shy with the brandy.

Love always!
Cormo
