Ten Pound Baby is a self-started aspiring comedy folk group based at Pakuranga College in East Auckland. It is the fifth most popular band of its kind and you must admit, thats mighty impressive for these dazzling young lads who have brought you such classics as the Anne Frank Blues and Pizza Boy Love Song.

Currently there are three members.
The IRISH, and overly proud Tynan Burkhardt.
The deadly Asian dude, Jacky Shuai, who scares away cute animals and year 9s.
And who could forget the heart, soul, and fluff of the band, Robert Meili.

The idea for the band's name, came from a baby one of Robert's teacher's had.
Who happened to be ten pounds.
Exciting.

    This shall definitely be a treat for those who have been with TPB since their forming.
    Below is an exclusive interview with Tynan, one of the members of Ten Pound Baby.

    MS: So how was it like finding out you were voted NZ's fifth most popular comedy folk group?

    TB: It felt kind of bad and knocked my confidence because we've always thought of ourselves as number 1 since we taught the Flight Of The Conchords everything they know and all that.

    MS: Oh really? So have you always been in close contact with celebrities of their sort?

    TB: Yeah, of course. We've been linked to all kinds of celebs; the tuck shop lady, and the mayor of Hamilton...

    MS: Very impressive. I must say, I am incredibly wowed by your success at such a young age. Is there any advice you would like to offer aspiring young artists out there?

    TB: Um just give it your 110%, and one thing I've learnt in my career is, don't give bullshit answers whilst being interviewed.
