What a fantastic gig this was! I walked down the stairs at about 9pm and drunkenly staggered in. Who did I see first but Sora Shima sitting there yelling at me. Hahahaha.

A few wines later and I rush up and buy a Sora Shima shirt and their first EP and then head to the stage to watch Sora Shima...what an experience this band is live. If you haven't seen them yet you must...simply must. They transport you through another place...they sounded absolutely epic.

You can catch them at Waikato University on Saturday the 13th of October...drink irresponsibly!

Next band up were The Lookie Loos. This is a great little rock band and the crowd was jumping around for their set.

The night starts getting hazy here...all the wine I'm drinking coupled with the bottle of gin...oh dear indeed.

Sunny Tokyo were next on and they played a very enjoyable set...I think. Well, I know but not the specifics. Teehee.

Then after what seemed an eternity of waiting through crappy sound checks the Mint Chicks finally stepped out. The lead singer had a skeleton mask on and the rest of the band donned their pairs of lenless glasses. The crowd went fucking nuts! Bouncing, shoving, moving around and it was fucking great let me tell you. I could only handle three songs cause I'm a sissy. Then I drunkenly sat down with Sora Shima at their little merchandise booth.

Funny times ensued.
