The Summer Solstice
For years i've organised a Summer party around the time of the solstice. There's an atmosphere you just cant get at any other time of the year.
Once i'd seen the area around southend and the beach in Carskey Bay it just had to be the place for this special yearly party. This is to be our fifth year at this site and as always the Monkey crew are raring to go. But It's more than the party its the place itself, from the sandy beaches to the green hills, eagles, rooks, seals and many other types of wildlife.
And places, like Dunaverty rock, the ruins of the other Keil school, the caves and Standing stones. And of course the Argyll hotel where many of us start the weekend off with a visit to meet the locals, a real friendly bunch who're happy to make you feel welcome. Though Bill's not so happy if you want to go streaking through his bar!! Its more than a party, its the full experience, a long weekend holiday in a wonderful setting.
You'll never forget the people or the party and you never know whose going to appear. While its been organised by family and friends its the one party of the year where anyone from anywhere can appear and does!0 Comments 220 days
