About Me

FULL of ATTITUDE
Me, Myself, and I
Shattered is the brainchild of John Paul Dutton, a virtuoso guitar player from Liverpool, England. When John Paul first came to Texas in the mid 80’s, he was well known as an English guitar phenomenon that had recorded his first album for EMI Records in the UK at the tender age of seven. John Paul’s blistering reputation for his guitar prowess has been displayed over the years with classic rock bands Corinthian, Excalibur, Valhalla, Raging Saint and Heaven.

In 2003, John Paul began piecing together the right lineup that now includes Houston native Rodger "Bam-Bam" Weiss on drums. Rodger started on the pots and pans at the age of three and by ten he had mastered his own set of skins. Bam-Bam’s credits include working with Jaco Pastorius, Instigator, Misteria, White Savage, Artatra, and national touring act Heaven that also featured Dutton on guitar.

Now in 2008, Shattered is once again evolving, but continuing the tradition of delivering the hard driving rock sound that audiences have come to expect with the addition of long time friends and comrades, Rick Ruszkowski and Wesley E. Kimbell.

For over twenty-six years Rick has been developing his unique bass and guitar style while playing with various bands and touring across country. In the Houston area Rick played with StrangeDaze and Renegade until moving to Austin in ‘94. Shortly after arriving in Austin, Rick began playing with Kevin Fowler and the Hellhounds/Thunderfoot.

Wesley’s multi-instrumental talent began at the young age of four when he graced his Atlanta church with his first vocal solo. By the time Wesley turned six he was playing the piano, saxophone, and touring with a barber shop quartet. As a seasoned musician Wesley moved to Austin in ‘93 where he quickly became a staple of the music scene. His credits include performing or opening for Dangerous Toys, Dee Snider & Widowmaker, Voodoo Piston, Thunderfoot, Psycho Magnets and a Poison Tribute album on Perris Records
