- Scouting for Girls are lifelong friends Roy, Greg & Pete..... Since forming in late 2005 these fine scouts have: • Recorded a live session for BBC Radio One & Radio Two • Won the Innocent smoothie unsigned band competition • Appeared at Glastonbury, Fruitstock & the Shepherds Bush Empire • Topped the “Into Music” download charts • Signed to Epic Records on Valentines Day 2007 (awww!) All this and they can still teach you how to navigate by the stars, bandage a fractured arm with a scarf and run a mean Jumble sale.
The name “Scouting for Girls” is both a cheeky pun and a beautifully rounded image. Infused with the nostalgia of innocent childhood and boyish adventure, yet suggestive of maturation towards experience, adulthood and disillusionment. Inspirational, quirky, escapist, and friendly. Unashamedly nostalgic, mottled with loss, disillusion and a poignant lamentation for innocent past times.

Scouting For Girls Announce New Album Details
Scouting For Girls are pleased to announce details of their second album for release in 2010.
The British pop band release ‘Everybody Wants To Be On TV’ through Epic Records on the 22nd March. It will be preceded by a new single, ‘This Ain’t A Love Song’ on the 7th March.
Roy Stride: “We had the album written, but decided it just wasn’t good enough so we trashed it and started over again. I just wanted to write the perfect pop song. We are perfectionists!”
The album was recorded at Helioscentric Studios with producer Andy Green who also produced the band’s triple platinum debut album, ‘Scouting for Girls’.
‘Everybody Wants To Be On TV’ follows the band’s Number 1 debut album which sold over a million copies featuring their four contagious hit singles (She’s So Lovely, Heartbeat, Elvis Ain’t Dead, and It’s Not About You) and made the trio, fronted by the exuberant showman Roy Stride, the biggest selling new British band in 2008.
Last year also saw the band nominated for three Brit Award nominations (Best British Breakthrough Act, Best British Live Act and Best British Single), sell out multiple tours, and the 3 everyday guys from London emphatically became a homegrown phenomena.
Scouting For Girls are currently completing a run of 3 intimate fanclub Christmas parties, and headline London’s Scala on 11th February. All shows have sold-out.

Hi everyone.
Hope you're all good.
I can't believe how quickly the year has gone! It's only six weeks to xmas and only two weeks until our wolfcub only xmas parties.
Thank you to everyone who bought tickets. We were really touched when the Christmas parties and the Scala shows sold out within hours. I promise you a good night!
We've suddenly got busy in preparation for the album launch next year. We did our first photoshoot last week, a few radio interviews and we're filming the video for the new single this Friday.
We've also tried to create something different in order to keep in touch with you guys regular. Its a cross between our own tv show and a video blog. As you can see from this trailer we're not taking it particularly seriously... but it's very funny!
We launch next week!

First 2010 show announced - exclusive fan presale
Hey Wolfcubs.
Hope you're well. Here's some good news to brighten up your Monday!
We're really excited to announce our first full show of 2010 at the London Scala on Tuesday 11th February.
It's a one off show where we'll be playing songs from the new album plus all the songs you love from the first.
It'll be our first proper show of the year in a venue we've never played before. We can't wait to play you the new songs and see you all again.
Tickets go on sale 9am Friday but we have a limited number of tickets available (only to you wolfcubs) which go on sale 6pm Wednesday via our website or this link: http://scoutingforgirlstickets.sandb... with a reduced booking fee. Please act quick as tickets will sell fast. Scala is a 16 + event.

Free St Paul's Cathedral show on Tuesday
Also, if you're in London tomorrow night (Tuesday) come along and see us play a couple of numbers outside St Paul's Cathedral as part of the Disney light switch on.
It's a free show and we'll be playing with both Spandau Ballet and Little Boots!! We're on stage around 6.15pm.
