www.sci-fi-london.com/festival/2008/...
TICKETS:
Booking Line: 020 7451 9944
Online: Through the (- we admit, slightly complicated!) Apollo West End Website.
Or why not order them in person, from the lovely: Apollo West End boxoffice itself! 19 Lower Regent Street, London, SW1Y 4LR. (- how old-school!)
(See the website for further Info. on Location and Prices.)
We want you to see more films this year too, so have put together a ticket deal: buy any 5 tickets and get 1 free*. That is 6 tickets for £50! Don’t just tell your friends, bring them with you!
*Please note that you can only get the offer by telephone and the 1 free ticket refers to the cheapest ticket... and all-nighters and film school are not included (we need some money in to pay for the festival folks!)
NEWS:
The big news is we have now confirmed our Opening and Closing Night movies.
Opening Night we have the UK premiere of DANTE 01, a unique science-fiction nightmare vision and the long-awaited solo debut from the legendary co-creator of The City of Lost Children and Delicatessen.
Closing Night is the World Premiere of CHEMICAL WEDDING, with music and screenplay by Bruce Dickinson, front man of the legendary Iron Maiden. Directed by Julian Doyle, CHEMICAL WEDDING is a supernatural occult thriller inspired by the life and works of Aleister Crowley, and stars Simon Callow as you have never seen him before.
Another first for the festival is at this year’s MST3K all-nighter. We present 3 classic Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes oh yes… but Mike Nelson and the crew have now created an entirely new way to watch movies. Basically they have created hilarious DVD commentaries – MST3K style. Called RIFFTRAX.COM their website features some of the biggest movies around, The 300, Star Wars, Matrix and so on. Of course it features some real turkey’s too and we bring you the premiere of Rifftrax’s BATTLEFIELD EARTH. Book Early, this event sells out quickly and if you cannot wait check out www.rifftrax.com.
Oh, and don’t forget to join our mailing list for comps and festival news too - and drop any questions in on the forum
