- Fresh out of Sheffield, England, electro-pop-rock duo Scarlet BLONDE is dropping their debut EP “Bedroom Superstars” (on their own HyperMEDIA Recordings) on the US this fall, in preparation for the upcoming full-length “Acerbic,” set to follow worldwide in March 2008.
On “Bedroom Superstars”, collaborators Ditch and DawnyVic serve up shimmering slices of pop/rock candy in the tradition of everything from 80’s synth and 70’s punk to New Wave, hip-hop, and full-on in-your-face rock.
The duo’s colourful past informs much of their unique approach to music, with a biting wit seeping through their pop-rock wall of sound.
Recorded over two years in various bedrooms “Bedroom Superstars” combines the attitude of Goldfrapp and the electro-dance power of Soulwax with retro tinges reminiscent of Depeche Mode. What appears at first to be an album destined for clubs reveals, upon further listens, a more deeply-layered sound indicative of the true talent this duo poses.

We're going Cargo!

As of yesterday, thanks to our US label dPulse, Scarlet BLONDE are to be ditributed by the mighty CARGO RECORDS in the UK and Europe! Cargo are without doubt THE BEST independet distributor in the world and, along with their store promo and marketing, will be a valuable asset.
So what does it mean/ Well, basically, all our releases from April onwards will be not only download but alos shinny CDs! YOu'll be able to walk into your favourite Zaavi/ HMV or similar and ppick on right of the shelkf and if NOT then you can go to the counter and order it!
Our first Cargo distributed physical release will be the There are many Black and White EPs in April, which will be available as 2 download packages, on CD and as a 12 " YELLOW VINYL (!!!) from Arpil 28th.
Onwards and upwards each and everyday! The train rolls on.

We're number 1. We're number 1. Woooo!
We are currently sitting at number 1 in this weeks USA eMusic Industrial Chart. We are also number 3 in their 'Freshley Ripped' Pop charts, number 17 in the House charts and number 39 in the overall dance charts.
eMusic is second only to iTunes in the US as far as sales are concerend so this is a massive leap forawrds by us and very exciting.

It can mean Red. It can also mean other thing such as its use in 'Scarlet Lady'. A Scarlet Letter was painted on heretics, prostitutes and any woman that didin't conform in medieval times.
Its also the colours my hair has been!
