RUA RED Launches 5th February 2009!
We are excited to announce the official launch of RUA RED, South County Dublin’s vibrant new centre for creativity, on 5th to 8th February 2009.
RUA RED will be officially opened on the 5th February 2009 by Mayor Marie Corr in the presence of Minister Martin Cullen T.D. from the Department of Arts Sports and Tourism. We’ll be celebrating our opening by showcasing local and national excellence in the arts at all levels.
This packed 4-day programme includes: exhibitions, performances, hands-on workshops and tours of the facilities. Our official launch will be marked by an exhibition ‘House Warming’ co-curated by Ruairí Ó Cuív and Cliodhna Shaffrey and present work by artists Jesse Jones, John Jones, Vera Klute, Clare Langan, Sean Lynch, Bea McMahon, Liam O’Callaghan and Beth O’Halloran.
We know that you will be keen to participate as an artist or audience member as we grow into a national beacon for the arts. For this reason RUA RED invites you to visit our website www.ruared.ie to discover the latest info about our launch events, artist opportunities and future programming. The full site will launch at the beginning of January.
