close About Me

Me, Myself, and I
Riot! Recordings and events have been rocking the raves for eight years and we're still gathering speed.

In October 2000 a party was born in the basement of a bar in the East End of London. On the line-up was a young Nick Sentience, Tom Neville and King Roc along with Riot legend Ed Real, all of whom worked together at Nukleuz Records. RIOT! had arrived & has been at the forefront of the scene ever since.

In 2004 Traffic records was formed by Scott Attrill (Vinylgroover) with his then partner Jim, after recording for Sony/BMG & Nukleuz the boys decided they wanted to create their own label, it has since become one of the most cutting edge in the world.

2007 we have released the genre-busting BK 'Under The Influence' double album and merged with Vinylgroover's Traffic Records, the labels have amassed a collection of show stopping anthems that cover the spectrum of tough house, trance and techno. Oh, and we've launched Fakt Recordings, our electro/minimal imprint that's seen support from Sasha and other big time charlies! Rock on...

Fast-forward to 2009 and the Riot! and Traffic brand’s are synonymous with consistent and quality dance releases as well as hardcore party antics. Running the show is no other than clubland supremo’s Scott Attrill & BK. Riot! has been featured prominently in Mixmag’s Club of the Year awards up to 2005. Riot! is now on it’s 47th release & Traffic on its 27th, the two labels are the biggest & best in the world of harder dance beats.

Riot! & Traffic recording artists include;
Judge Jules, Yoji, Lisa Lashes, BK, Scott Attrill, Mark Sherry (Public Domain), Andy Farley, Vinylgroover & The Red Hed, Alex Kidd, The Organ Donors, Kutski, Nick Sentience, Future Disciple, Andy Whitby, DAVE The Drummer, Hixxy, Si Paul (Lost Witness), Amber D, Rob Tissera and other leading lights?

Tunes get support from such a diverse range of names as;
Mixmag, I-DJ, DJ magazine, Radio One, Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Deep Dish, Anne Savage, Sander Van Doorn, Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Fergie, Lisa Lashes, Steve Angelo and Tidy Boys?

  • Random John New Release

    New release from Random John, & this one’s a bit dirty!

    SLOSH POT – ‘RANDOM JOHN’
    First release of 2010 for Random John and this is heavy! ‘Slosh Pot’ begins with some phatt ‘Prodigy’ style loops with some snips of a ‘Porn’ vocal thrown in for good measure before breaking down to more of the vocal & happenings (haha) before slamming in with some big ‘Hard Electrik’ filth & Bass. There are some awesome affects & hoovers in here that are placed well and the main breakdown has to be heard to be believed.. The build up is nice and ‘errr’ fast before ripping in with some funky acid, top stuff!!!

    BREAK ME IN – ‘RANDOM JOHN’
    The flip side is just as good, with nice pace & groove from the start set off by some very cool breaks fill’s and some awesome digital / electro bleeps in there too. The bassline is the star of the show here, in your face and different, fan’s of ‘Scott Attrill’ & the like will lap this bad boy up! The main breakdown is pure big beat heaven, ruff, raw & in your face – check it out..
