Rieser will be playing gigs for Honour Our Troops during 2010 and our bass player Mike Edie will be running the 5K BUPA Edinburgh Great Winter Run (Saturday 9 January) from Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, up and around Arthurs Seat in aid of Honour Our Troops.
Mike says “I’m now in training for it and hope to complete the run in a decent time. It’s all for such a good cause and the money we raise goes to the serving troops risking their lives to keep ours safe.”
Rieser are going to be playing at Maggie's Chamber (3 Sisters, Edinburgh) on Friday 15 January 2010 to raise funds for www.honour-our-troops.com with support from our good friends The Elements and Keith Meisner. Doors open at 7:30pm, Free

Then we play the Fete De La Musique at the French Institute on

Phew!
Loads! Loads we say! Reviews, radio play and a gig!
The Daily Record Reviewed the EP on Friday.
THE band's 2007 debut album The Well Dressed Thief included the song Rockstar. But judging by the band's new music - the leather trousers are in storage. Always a group that refused to play one style, on the Drinking Den EP at least it seems they are going for that crusty folk beloved of The Wonder Stuff or The Levellers. The title tune dances like a wacked out hippy around a fire. The Actor could be from The Wonder Stuff's back catalogue. The bass bounces along so The Actor can't be John Gielgud. Maybe a youngster like David Tennant. Call Me Round is back to trippy folk and blissed out vocals. Even final tune The Ringmaster which starts with a great rip-roaring guitar falls back into an acoustic campfire guitar blur. But there's a nice line "my god the clown's are coming" and the famous circus theme played on the guitar.
EP Launch this Friday night at Maggie's Chamber (upstairs in The 3 Sisters) Cowgate Edinburgh. Doors open 9pm, FREE. We will have plenty of EP's CD's, badges, stickers and booze to give away
