I got a call from Barbara, from the lay Carmelites last night. Unfortunately Mary Anne has died. She was seventy years old. The very short obituary was in this morning's paper. The wake is this weekend & funeral on Monday. Yesterday was another typically droll day around here. I played my usual Beatle oldies on my guitar & even threw in a few by Eric Clapton & one from Bob Dylan again. My fingers hurt & sometimes the fingerings are more than slightly tough to handle but little by little I'm getting there. Uncle Frankie came over for a while lately. Nothing much out of the ordinary has happened lately. My mother's back has been getting slowly but surely a little better each day. The Fourth of July is just around the corner now that the end of June is only a few days away. Happy Friday. It's time for everybody to do the official final Friday Dance of June.
