Reach Out! is an online service for young people 16-25. It provides you with practical information, support and links to other services to help you get through tough times. Because it is online it is free, anonymous, confidential and available to access 24/7.

At Reach Out! you will find info on anything from depression, anxiety, independence to body image. You’ll also find inspiring interviews with people who have got through their own tough times.

Reach Out! works with a team of young people who help keep the service real and appealing to the Reach Out! audience.

Reach Out! is run by The Inspire Foundation http://www.inspire.org.au, an Australian not-for-profit organisation that creates opportunities for young people to change their world. Inspire also runs the ActNow and Beanbag programs nationally:

  • Finding Help

    Finding Help is a section on the ReachOut! website about the different types of help available, how to work out which one is best for you, ways to help a friend, and where to get help in your local area. There are four sections in Finding Help http://www.reachout.com.au/finding_h.... Within each section are a number of fact sheets that contain information, advice, and strategies to help you find the best help.

    Remember, if you need to talk to someone right now, call either Lifeline: 131 114 (cost of a local call) or Kids Help Line: 1800 55 1800 (free call, for people under 18) .

    it's good there are sites like these ones, where people can just come and check it out without the full-blown pressure of seeking help from total strangers FACE-TO-FACE. That really is daunting.
    I know that i hate asking for help from people, face-to-face. It seems to make me feel ... weak, almost. Flawed that i have to ask for help.
    This site and all the others are here to help and i THANK THEM!

    i love this site it is one of the great organizations in oz , i have teenage sons and yeah its pretty tough out there for the young ones of today .
    i wish there was sites like this when i was young then maybe i could of said no to peer pressure and drugs .
