About Me

Tagline
Afro Hip Hop, what dat mean? AfRicA fool
Me, Myself, and I
AMMO is the Revolution. SJM is the Army. Before Akon went multiplatinum and became a superstar, the seeds of a movement had already been sowed. African faces were becoming more common in European cities. Parents wanting to take their families away from GENOCIDE, WAR, POVERTY fled to places like London, Paris, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland. And the kids who left Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Sudan, Eritrea, South Africa, The Congo, Rwanda, Zambia... We are all grown up now. And even tho we might stutter sometimes when speaking our African languages, we are still as African as ever. Not american, or english, or kiwi.. African. I want each and every Immigrant and Refugee to ride with me, Raiza, as I follow in the steps of Akon and show the world what the f**k the Motherland is about. In my hood, Wellywest, We aint Gangstas, We are 'Totsi's'. We aint Thugs, We Tuugs. Sons Of Da AKs.
For parties, club and function performances, msg me your number and Ill give you a holla.

  • Raiza - Lyrics to 'Single Momz'

    Single Momz {Lyrics}

    Verse 1

    My inspiration and my dedication,
Is to any single mother who struggled to give her son an education,
Who tried to raise him so he could live a better life,
To be a hard working man and to never lie,
You ain’t alone, Ill be there for you
If you get scared I’ma wipe away your tears for you..Uh
Your baby daddy aint there for ya
but your pride make you act like it aint affecting ya
I admire you, I respect you,
if I was a super hero, I would save you,
bathe you, clothe you, soothe you
Tell you that you beautiful, treat you like a beauty queen
Cos truthfully, I don’t know what you see in me,
Everyday is a struggle but you maintain,
We living in a crazy world but you stay sane,
I seen things that would drive a man insane,
But you seen pain that would make a man feel strange…
So this is a message for any fella,
If you love your mama don’t ever hesitate to tell her,
And if you got a girl who means the world to ya..
Man up n***, go and tell them words to her,
Life is short, if you thinking you gon live forever,
You got it wrong, you from the hood, you should know better.
So heres a toast, to my women coast to coast,
Keep your hopes even though you feeling lost.. uh huh
And if you thought Raiza was all about the hoes,
Think again my friend you don’t really know me,
Hardest part of life is taking responsibility,
May not make sense now but it will eventually
…and when you seventy, looking at the things you did,
You’ll regret the fact that you aint never raise your kids,
I’m a man now, I done seen it all before,
So if you need me, girl don’t hesitate to call,
Tell my kids when they able to crawl..
You know what, matter fact, I’ma tell em myself
Uh.. cos I’ll be there money or not.

Now where my real men hiding at? You coming or what?

  • Damn.. Sometimes I wanna quit music

Damn, sometimes I wanna quit music

    Whats good people,

I been in the studio for the past couple months working on my album and its really been difficult.

I changed the whole thing several times, deleted alot of songs and couldnt make up my mind. Besides being a perfectionist, there are a few other reasons for this:

-Firstly, making an album is like letting everyone into your soul, its like letting everyone see your tru colors.

-Secondly, assuming the album becomes a classic that the african youth can relate and listen to, the message will affect people. If i choose to degrade women and glorify drugs and violence, then I will basically be encouraging my listeners to do the same.

So im sitting there with this responsibility on my shoulders. Being one of the first Africans to release an album in NZ, i dont have anyone i can look to for advice.

I had to think about what message i was going to send out.

I also had to think about whether i really wanted to show people my soul.

I mean, my soul aint perfect. its got alot things i dont want people to see. but then i thought, once upon a time, music used to be about showing your soul whether its good or bad.

So i decided for this album, and any album i do, i will speak the truth from my heart. I WILL ONLY BE REAL. I WILL ONLY BE ME.

    thats all i can be...

So i know that if you are a real individual you will feel the music and relate to it.

Its finally done, just waiting on the covers for it.

    Thanx for reading yall.

    One love.

  • African civil wars in New Zealand?? Haha, you gotta be kidding me..

    Damn..

I went to this african party on saturday night with my girl and to tell the truth, I actually had a good time. I saw alot of people that I aint seen in years and everybody in the african community is growing.

So I was kicking it wit my peoples having fun, had a drink or 2, and there was no dramas... except for the odd 'brotha' tryna holla at my girl by saying 'yo hey sista, i missed ya'. haha. Its cool tho, I used to used those lines once upon a time.

Anyways, when the party was over, everybody went outside and was talking and chilling and I remember saying to my boyz,' Yo can yall believe that nobody has been fighting tonite, damn, I guess us Africans are finally learning how to have a good time without ruining it'...

And then boom, some dude smacks some other dude, and then chaos, people jumping in tryna stop a fight and nobody knows whos fighting. No one knows why. It finally cools down and Im like damn i knew it was to good to be true. Next thing you know, dudes are running down the street screaming fight!! Fight!! haha, grown as people to. All I can see is like 50 black people all over the streets, some is breaking bottles on the ground, picking up signs and swinging them.

Moral of the story? Are we ever gonna change? I love my people and aint nothing worse to me than brother fighting each other but Im really starting to question whether we can ever have peace. I now understand why there are so many wars back home, and you would think things would change in New Zealand. But put 50 Africans and add a lil bit of alcohol, and brothers will still be fighting over some bullshit forever.

    So what do we do?

    Do we give up?

    I aint got a clue..

Oh by the way, my album is titled 'Raizas Redemption and it will be coming out next month so make sure you support da african youth movement.

    One love yall.
