  • Kiddstock Promises Almighty Irish Party

On Saturday 1 August a mystic mist will set across Ireland as worlds collide and enemies set forth to battle for control of Hard Dance’s most sought after dimension - The Divine Province of Ireland.

The second instalment of Kiddstock ‘The Enchanted Realms’, sees the veteran warriors from the harder-edged frontier of electronic music slug it out in the second leg of this unholy engagement.

In May, The Magic Kingdom (Wales) witnessed miraculous combat and unrivalled showmanship as the conflict erupted in the Anglesey Showground.

The Mystic Peaks (England) and The Forgotten Temple (Scotland) follow throughout August, but ahead of them the crusade continues in the godly lands of Ireland.

Three arenas lie in wait as 20 hard dance sorcerers, witches and illusionists fight it out for the glorious crown.

Alex Kidd, ASYS, Mark EG, Organ Donors, Kidd Kaos, Dr Willis and the Kiddfectious All-star Squad are the heavyweight favourites.

They are joined by Ireland’s most powerful patrons including Mark Kavanagh, John Gibbons, Jordan X, Mandy Reid, James Best and more.

A magic village, outdoor barbecue area, fire breathers, stilt walkers, live visuals and full indoor festival experience await those ready to dance in the midst of this almighty confrontation.

The freshest beats, deafening bass and thunderous hard dance loops in existence are waiting to be unleashed - will you be there to witness them?

Kiddstock Ireland ‘The Divine Province’ takes place in the Coach Complex, Banbridge, Co. Down. Just 30 minutes north of the border and centrally located to all major towns and cities in Northern Ireland the venue offers the perfect backdrop for this once in a lifetime event. Doors 7.30pm-1.30am. Ticket only event – limited numbers available. Tickets, priced at only £12 plus booking fee, are available now from the Coach front bar, www.ticketmaster.ie and Ticketmaster outlets nationwide. See www.kiddstock.com/ireland for more information.

  • Planetlove Lash Through Time With Lisa

Planetlove celebrate the passing of yet another landmark event as they host the official Planetlove Ireland after party in Time, Nass, on Friday 10 July!

The world’s undisputed queen of hard dance, Lisa Lashes, is flying in to spearhead the celebrations and two of Ireland’s biggest stars will be joining her on the night.

From tearing up dancefloors under the Mediterranean sun to filling stadiums in South Africa and playing on the Nordic seas onboard a huge ocean liner; Lashes has had a fascinating career DJing at some of the most beautiful locations on earth.

She states putting her first tune on at the opening of Birmingham superclub Sundissential, her world tour which took in every continent on earth and the launch of her Lashed Music record label as the highlights of a whirlwind decade in the dance music industry.

Other notable milestones include running her own club night ‘Lashed’ in Ibiza, mixing some of the best-selling dance albums of all time and residing in the Top 10 of DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ Poll.

In 2009 Lashes has progressed in to the studio; working on a number of remixes and productions that have set the harder edged electronic music world alight.

Remixes of Faithless - ‘We Come One’ and Olive - ‘You’re Not Alone’ have won numerous spins on Kutski’s Radio 1 show, while tracks like ‘Maxwell’ and ‘Nu Religion’ have sent club and festival crowds in to overdrive!

This summer Lashes again plays across Europe’s busiest party resorts in Ibiza, Mallorca and Cyprus as well as gigging at every major festival in the UK, Ireland and beyond.

And with more productions and tours planned for the duration of 2009 the country’s favourite female DJ continues to be one of the hardest working and most popular artists on the circuit.

Joining Lashes for what promises to be a bass-heavy fiesta is Club Educate hero John Gibbons and Mr Hard Dance Mark Kavanagh!

Gibbons is taking Europe by storm with residencies across the continent, while at the same time catapulting himself to the forefront of the Irish dance music scene.

Mixing his way through a set of self-produced thumpers and legendary tunage the sunglasses-loving jock is fast becoming the country’s favourite artist.

Kavanagh is one of the founding godfathers of the Irish club scene.

Having worked with some of the biggest hard dance artists on the planet the Clubmix jock has a back catalogue of dancefloor destroyers that annihilates every other Irish DJs collection - and he is preparing to unleash them in Time!

Suburban Sounds head honchos Ken Gardiner and Daragh Kelly present classic anthems in room two.

Planetlove presents the official Planetlove Ireland after party with Lisa Lashes in Time, Nass, on Friday 10 July. Advanced tickets 15 euros plus booking fee available from www.ticketmaster.ie and Ticketmaster outlets nationwide. Tickets also available at the door on the night. Doors 10.00pm-late. See www.planetlovemusic.com for more details.

  • Dave Pearce Brings Trance Anthems To Newry

Radio 1 legend Dave Pearce brings his Trance Anthems 2009 Tour to Newry on Friday 26 June as Planetlove WKD presents the biggest summer club night of the year in The Relic!

Millions of clubbing enthusiasts grew up with Pearce on the airwaves as he provided the soundtrack to a generation of dance music fans across the UK and beyond.

He has sold over one million compilation albums in the UK as well as hosting television shows, compiling award winning movie soundtracks, presenting radio shows on both sides of the Atlantic and creating one of Britain’s most successful record labels; NuLife.

It all kicked off when the ‘voice of a nation’ started DJing on London-based pirate radio stations while still at school.

At 16 he was running his own station and by the age of only 17 Pearce was DJing to a glamorous Bollywood crowd in Bombay, India.

Shows on BBC Radio London, GLR and Kiss FM followed before an ever-impressive Pearce joined BBC Radio 1 and his career behind the microphone catapulted him to worldwide stardom.

Originally hosting the Early Breakfast Show, Pearce went on to host a variety of different shows on the station including the Recovery Session, The Weekend Breakfast Show, Drivetime, Late Drive and Dance Anthems.

Dance Anthems ran for 11 years before the cap-loving superstar relocated the show to BBC 6 Music where it continues to deliver the perfect after party antidote for clubbers every Sunday night.

Earlier this year Pearce released a new compilation series, The Dance Years, with Ministry of Sound; a series comprising of the biggest and most important dance tracks from the past 20 years.

Each year was released via its own dedicated album along with sleeve notes written by Pearce detailing what happened within the clubbing scene in each of those respective years.

Throughout the summer the media-friendly jock has retained regular sets in holiday resorts across Europe and the Mediterranean including Tramps in Tenerife, BCM Mallorca and Zante in Greece.

And with festival appearances and tour dates throughout the UK Pearce’s gig diary is as busy now as ever before.

Joining Pearce in the Relic is Northern Ireland legend and one half of dynamic duo Agnelli & Nelson; Robbie Nelson.

‘El Nino’, ‘Hudson Street’, ‘Everyday’, ‘Holding On To Nothing’ and ‘Wear That Dress’ are just some of the iconic tracks produced by the Larne DJ who has played at every major club in the world from Gatecrasher in the UK to Zouk in Singapore.

Ireland’s favourite DJ and Club Educate frontman John Gibbons is also on disc duty along with local heroes Major 12 Inch and Jonny Brown.

Planetlove WKD presents Dave Pearce and his Trance Anthems 2009 Tour at The Relic, Newry, on Friday 26 June. Gates 9pm-late and tickets are £10 (pay at door). See www.planetlovemusic.com for more details.
