Uplaya awarded his songs ‘Then I Remember’ a Platinum award and ‘Yellow Ribbon’ a Gold award. 'Yellow Ribbon' was also adopted by Neil Young on his ‘Living With War’ website.

He has performed in a variety of bands playing styles ranging from Country & Folk to Pop & Rock. He also learned to play bass guitar, keyboard, classical guitar and began writing and recording his own music, lyrics and poems.

Although his singing capabilities leaves a lot to be desired (and he is the first person to admit this), the quality of his compositions and his versatility as a musician compensate for this. Many of his songs have lyrics about life and relationships that most people can relate to.
