The Dead Weather to play free Halloween gig this Saturday - Live on NME Radio
Jack White has announced that The Dead Weather will be playing a free show at Shoreditch Church this Saturday, October 31.
Speaking live on NME Radio to DJ Iain Baker this afternoon (October 29), White said that The Dead Weather would play the show at the east London venue which is the location for the latest pop-up shop being staged by his label Third Man Records.
The store will be open tomorrow (30) and Saturday, and White revealed the band would take to the stage for the free show at 8pm (GMT) on Saturday.
He added that he hoped the gig will bring the spirit of an American Halloween to London.
The show will be broadcast live exclusively on NME Radio. To tune in, head to Sky Channel 0184, Virgin Media 975, Freesat 727, DAB in London or NME.COM/radio.
"It'd be nice if you came covered in blood," Alison Mosshart told fans, when asked if the band would be wearing themed Halloween costumes.
"I'll give a record you can only get from me to the person who's covered in blood the most," added White, before quickly confirming that the blood should be fake.
The pop-up shop is Third Man's first outside the US, although White suggested he could open them in Mexico and possibly Texas following stints in Los Angeles and New York earlier in the year.0 Comments 25 days
