2011 Porsche Cayman Safety
Although safety may seem to be the last thing on the minds of most potential Porsche consumers, Porsche has still managed to make the 2011 Cayman a relatively safe environment to scream around town in. All the airbags available in most modern vehicles are present here including both driver and passenger front and side airbags. The 2011 Cayman also comes with two rows of side curtain airbags. These side curtain airbags roll down the entire length of each window in order to prevent the heads or bodies of the driver or passenger from crashing through a side window in the event of a collision. Side curtain airbags such as those featured in the 2011 Porsche Cayman are designed to maintain their air supply even after a collision to continue to protect the occupants in case the car rolls over.
The 2011 Cayman also has some of the best anti-lock brakes available on the market and features cutting edge traction control and automated stability control. The Cayman has won various awards for its safe layout including the Best Compact Premium Sporty Car for both 2006 and 2007 from J.D. Power’s Automotive Performance magazine, both in their Initial Quality study and their Execution and Layout study.
