2011 Nissan cube
Review, Prices, Comparisons, Pictures
The 2011 Nissan Cube is still four-door wagon with a unique design with enough room for four big adults. The big add-on for the 2011 model is a navigation system. Other additions include Bluetooth connectivity and a new color choice for the exterior color. The design of the Cube is similar the Nissan Versa, but has a more urban and artsy feel. The base-price range for the 2011 Cube is from $15,040 to $21,940.
While most car models are planning bigger changes for 2012, there really isn't much reason to wait with the Nissan Cube, with the exception of a planned redesign of the under-skin engineering for the Versa. However, the Cube isn't likely to undergo a similar change until a few model years after that, making a solid case to go with the 2011 model.
No big changes are planned for the 2012 Cube. A fuel leakage problem (following a rear-end collision) that lead to a 2010 recall has been corrected in the 2011 model. Another plus is avoiding a predicted price hike for most 2012 car models.
Consumer Guide awards the 2011 Cube with a 69 out of 110 road test rating. The warranty for the 2011 Cube is the standard three year/36,000 mile with a five year/60,000 mile drivetrain warranty, a five year/unlimited mileage corrosion warranty. There is also a a choice of a seven year/70,000 mile emission warranty, three year/50,000 and three year/36,000. The 2010 model was named one of the top ten road trip cars, there's no reason the 2011 model shouldn't be a contender.
Acceleration, fuel economy, ride quality, steering, handling, braking, quietness, control, room comfort, front driver seating, rear seat comfort and cargo room all produced average or above average rankings. Overall the 2011 Nissan Cube offers a nice amount of space and practicality wrapped up in a small, yet highly styled package at a reasonable price.
