2011 Lexus LS 600h L Safety
Because of Toyota’s unfortunate series of safety mishaps in the past few years (most notably with the Toyota Prius and Lexus ES 350), safety has become one of the brand’s highest priorities—and the LS 600 is the very epitome of that. It features dual-stage air bags up-front, a passenger "twin-chamber" airbag, driver and passenger seat-mounted airbags and knee airbags, and side-curtain airbags—bringing the total number of airbags in the Lexus to about 9. It also has standard three-point seatbelt with pretensioners and headrests for both front and rear passengers.
Lexus’s own ‘Lexus Enform’ and ‘Safety Connect’ are two more important additions to the know-all, do-all nav system. In tandem, they’re dubbed "telematics" and include pre-collision warning devices and a system that will automatically apply the brakes if it senses an imminent collision with an object or person.
