2011 GMC Terrain Safety

Safety has not been neglected in the 2011 Terrain model either as engineers have created a more stable body system that is capable of providing the best in accident protection. Single piece body side stampings have been used to created a tighter overall structure with reduced gap tolerances and a better frame integrity. The 2011 Terrain is being offered in both a front wheel drive and all wheel drive models. Each of them comes with the SLE or SLT trim levels as available options. All of these models now come with the StabiliTrak electronic stability control and traction control systems that make it easier to maintain traction on roads when inclement weather strikes unexpectantly. There are also 6 air bags that come standard as well: dual frontal air bags, head curtain side air bags and pelvic/thorax seat mounted side air bags. They have been integrated into the interior to provide the most secure passenger compartment.
