We are few in number, but great in power. The best things come in small packages.
We meet usually on Saturday nights at 7pm at HQ (Mount Wellington Community Church 1 Waipuna Rd, Mt Wellington (the little old building) and kick back with awesome things like
Gym nites, Eden Park, Car Rallies, HM Rage+other camps/overnighters, Parachute, Beach, 10 Pin Bowling, Home nights etc.
We also have bible study evenings every second wednesday at various locations.
We believe that Jesus Christ died for us, and that he is the best friend you can have.
"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it"

Youth Group band
Hi everyone
For a while we've wanted a band. And no-one does anything about it until it gets to HMRAGE and the talent quest, but then it's too late!
At the moment, I am organising the formation of it and I want to know who can do what, so
IF YOU PLAY AN INSTRUMENT, COMMENT ON THE FORUM ABOUT THIS!

I want to know every instrument you can play proficiently and are willing to play at HMRage in front of everyone.
At the moment we are thinking of playing a church worship song at the talent quest but we are also open to other songs and we may even submit two bands!!
The band won't only do HMrage if we want. A little bit of music at the beginning of a saturday night sometimes would make it just so much cooler. We could even write our own music (we have people in youth group who are good at this) and perform it infront of church on sunday!
Maybe we could even enter other music comps
Other pros are we get experience playing in a band situation and infront of a few people.
WE WILL HAVE A BAND AT HM RAGE NEXT YEAR SO LETS GET ORGANISED AND PRACTISING!
Don't just leave this and go "oh damn we forgot and now its too late..... again!" like we do every year. There'll be lots of practising opportunities over the next few months up til next may, and we may even have a youth service to show off in!
We will talk about this at youth group over the next while too.

Thanks to all my yth group peeps for coming to the engagement party on Saturday. Sori I couldnt hang with u guys more but Dubby was thrilled to have u all over and was especially grateful for Alex and Rachel for chatting with her and making her feel special - cheers guys!
