  • Milk's Story

Formed in August 2009, Milk embellish their sound with catchy pop hooks in the vein of contemporary pop singer-songwriters like John Mayer and Gavin De Graw, whilst drawing inspiration from blues guitar gods like BB King and Peter Green. This Dublin four-piece have created their own unique blend of bluesy pop rock.

The band is merely in its infancy however they have rapidly begun to develop a reputation as must-see live performers having collectively played at some of Ireland's most popular music venues: The O2 Market, Whelans, The Village, The Porterhouse, Le Cirk, Think Tank, Eamon Dorans, Cypress Avenue and The Academy.

In a short space of time, Milk have managed to garner an impressive array of original songs. It came as no surprise when they were announced as being in the running for Most Promising New Artist at the Irish Music Meteor Awards 2010.

Having demoed all originals on YouTube and Myspace to a growing fan base, demand for a debut EP was evident. The result was "Try". Its sound combines catchy pop sensibilities with stellar blues guitar playing; silky smooth bass lines and hypnotic drum beats. With influences ranging from mainstream singer-songwriters like James Morrison and Rob Thomas, to Blues and Jazz greats like Miles Davis and Eric Clapton, this is intelligent pop music at its best.
