R.I.P.Michael Jackson Anyone who knows me knows how much i love my music. MJ was the first music i ever liked, back in the day, the first artist i liked ever. I thought id dedicate this section to him for a while. The man was a legend, amazing dancer, amazing singer and a style and presence all his own. For years he was the worlds biggest entertainer, nobody could touch him. Nobody still can as far as album sales go, Thriller being the top selling album EVER. His music goes beyond music to something way more. He appeals to all ages, from the young to the old. Whatever you think about him, he has made a great impact on the world. For all the haters..he was proved innocent of all charges brought against him. Overall he broke boundaries, and his creativity knew no limits. he did things the way he wanted to. although he was naive at times his ideals that childhood can live on are inspirational. overall he wanted to bring happiness and that he did. his legend will live on

    i was in botanic gardens earlier for a while before meeting someone and met this guy called cyril. absolute legend. you may have seen him about, he looks like a tramp hes scruffy, has a beard, tanned face, and a bike he takes everywhere with him with loads of plastic bags on the front handlebars.
    he asked me what i was reading and proceeded to tell me all about the authors life.from this on i was intrigued about this guy. he asks me if ive ever studied and after i tell him he proceeds to give me a resume of everything ive learnt in the last 3 years. after some convo later i find out that the guy is a full on genius. hes self taught and when he rhymes off all the disciplines hes taught himself in the list is endless. he tells me all these facts about things hes interested in, giving book titles, authors, loads of page references and where theyre found on the actual page of the book. hes an avid reader, of anything and everything, and remembers EVERYTHING. he says he has an obsessive personality and his obsession is reading and thirst for knowledge. speaking of thirst while im talking to him he sips on some sort of multivitamin juice made by squeez. says he likes to get his vitamins. he says over the past ten years or so hes been talking to people from all over the world in botanic gardens, telling them about his passion and, if theyre visitors, about belfast. he knows a lot about belfast and tells me of the intellectuals from the area including kelvin (mentioning his second law of thermodynamics) and john stewart bell. says he picks up litter quite a bit too. he tells me he could get a job if he wanted to but would rather read all the time.if he had a job he wouldnt have the time to do the things he wants to do. at one stage he says i should continue studying and gives me a pamphlet for a phd/ma course at queens in cognition and culture.
    overall he gives so much information its hard to take it all in.a lot of facts. most is about the interconnectedness of everything. not bad for what seemed to me and probably most other people a kinda dirty looking tramp. he recommended 2 books for further reading. the first hes read 16 times and says you can get on amazon secondhand for £3
