A belated Happy New Year to you. Hope you had a lovely Christmas. Feck all craic (as usual) other than the fact that I was floored with a virus for the whole of the holidays . On the plus side that did affect my appetite and ability to go out drinking due to the antibiotics and steroids. So I havnt started the new year with the usual extra 7 or 8 pounds Any auld craic or scandal to report back to the boglands at all?

I drank a full jug of coffee reading through it and in the process I think ive found a decent recession replacement for alcohol . Anyway, tis good to hear your settling back and finding your feet.

Simon had me out to his house for dinner a few weeks ago and his missus made some very fine meatballs and Simon presented me with a lovely bottle of Fullers Vintage Ale....
