So i am at home in auckland and thought i would share with you some of the things i look forward to before kids camp, and maybe how you (if you a leader or kid!) could be preparing for kids camp week!!
1. ALWAYS anticipate that God wants to meet with you, show you more about himself, teach you new lessons and inspire you in some way.
2. Start thinking about that THEMED COSTUME. To tell you the truth I'm not big on costumes, but man some of you guys have come up with some real winners over last year. Kyle Finlay coming as Winston with a 'NO' sign was one of the most memorial costumes from 2008. Yours could be the costume of 2009!!!
3. Remember your focus for the week. We all want to have fun, be especially as a leader, your not coming just for yourself anymore. I have always found that times when I have needed to give 'out' a lot have been some of the most fulfilling times? And through seeing the kids have a good time during activities, meals, meetings and games, I've found that I go home from camp really feeling like I've been apart of seeing something great achieved.
4. Spend some time preparing. Talk to God about the week ahead. Ask him to be with your through all the challenges and new things you will face. I always ask him to use me in his ways - that he would show me where to go, and who to give time and attention to! Pray that God would be real to other kids!

I'm hoping to have the day off work but we not meant to take time off from the 20th december-end of jan.
