- Kitsunegari is a solo, acoustic singer and songwriter from Brisbane, Australia.
With her silken voice, thought provoking lyrics, catchy melodies and a style that is all her own, she entrances the listener from the first note to the last. A wholly acoustic artist, Kitsunegari epitomises raw virtuosity and a love for the music she plays.
Kitsunegari has played venues throughout Brisbane and central Victoria as a solo acoustic entertainer, accompanied only by her guitar and strong melodies. What this minstrel lacks in stature, she makes up in voice. Powerful and fun, Kitsunegari is fun to watch and enjoyable to listen to.
The release of her debut EP sees Kitsunegari stepping into new territory as both a musician and songwriter.

WHY CAN'T PEOPLE PLAY FAIR?
competition is healthy. competition is good - sometimes. underhandedness, on the other hand, is crass. moving in on someone else's territory and reorganising it without telling the original organiser, then shafting a whole pile of innocent people and passing on tales of untruth: disgusting.
i'm aware of the fact that this kind of bullshit goes on all the time, but seriously, why? if you've organised something with one person and have little choice but to move on, then the person who steps in to replace you should honour the system and contracts you had in place (especially if it's working) before putting their own personal stamp on it or choosing someone else to work with; especially when there are innocent bystanders who are going to be left hanging by the changes and ego bashing. is it really such a difficult thing to do?
actually, worse than that, is when the person who takes over the task, who has a 'friend' who wants in on it and chooses to 'steal' the idea and make it their own. they use their 'friend' who has inherited this idea, then swoop in and manage to convince their 'friend' that they are the better choice. they then begin to dictate terms to the point where innocents are shafted and replaced by people who are 'in the circle' of the person who has moved in on this original idea.
meh. i'm rambling and making little sense. i know what i'm talking about - i think. i just needed to vent some thoughts i've had the past couple of weeks.
back to our regular programming.

TWITTER
so...i've kind of been "peer pressured" into getting a twitter account. main reason for not doing it was because i didn't know what it was; the website is kind of vague-ish (otherwise, i prefer greater detail in the information a website has to offer before i make a decision).

THANKS!
hey everyone!
well, christmas is almost upon us which means the year is almost over. it's been quite a busy and exciting year here in the kitsunegari camp, beginning with the signing to lempicka records, the recording of the ep "bootpolish&babies" and the birth of my second child.
a lot of what has happened this year wouldn't have happened without the help and support of my friends, my family, and of course you - my fans. so this is a great big thankyou to all of you who have bought the cd, attended gigs, or just simply listened to my music. this year wouldn't have been the success that it has been if you guys hadn't been involved.
next year should hopefully be just as exciting, if not more so. plans are afoot to begin recording a new cd, and i've been hard at work creating new songs for you all to listen to and enjoy. i'm also hoping to start spreading my music beyond the city of brisbane, so i'll keep you posted on how that goes.
again, thank you for all your support. you guys rock!
have a happy and safe christmas and a wonderful new year and i'll see you on the other side!
