- Kenmure Youth represents all of the youth groups which meet at Kenmure Church in Bishopbriggs in Glasgow... they're a cheery bunch *heheh*
What's happening...
+ Bible Class - during sunday morning worship - starts at 10:30am (p7-s6).
+ Anathallo - 7:30pm-9pm on sunday evenings (s1-s6).
+ Youth Band - every Monday night 7:30-9pm (S1-S6)
+ GB 7-9pm Tuesdays (S1-S6)
+ TTNP - every fortnight on a Thursday 7:45-9pm (P7-S3) - starts Thursday 10th September!
+ BB 7:30-9:30pm Fridays (P7-S6)
+ Sunday Services now at 10:30am
+ Youth Led evening Service - 6:30pm Sunday 6th December
Meeting for coffee morning after church (11:30am) 22nd Nov
Prep night 26th Nov 7:30 @ linda's flat
+ Pancake Coffee morning Sat 28th Nov 10-12noon
+ YOUTH WEEKEND AWAY 26TH-28TH FEB 2010

February Youth weekend Away (+ coffee morning)
Hi folks...
It's getting to that time again when we're trying to get stuff sorted for the Youth Weekend Away in February... Just so you know the dates to put in your diary NOW we will be going away on the weekend of the 26-28th February 2010... and this year we have a NEW venue!!!! *grins* - more details will come out about that in the near future...
However, we have a coffee morning to raise funds for it on the 12th of September. We do this so that we can make it so that you folks who want to come won't have to pay the full amount... just eases the purse strings a bit =)
So.... as always we're having a couple of prep nights before the coffee morning - both at Linda's flat (ask me if you don't know where that is) 'n basically we use this time to sort stuff out for the coffee morning (i.e. who's doing what) 'n make some stuff if this is required.
So our prep nights are going to be at 7:30pm on:
Wed 2nd Sept
Wed 9th Sept.
So please come along if you can... even if you can't make the prep nights but would like to be involved in the coffee morning etc then just let me know =) It would be good if all the folks who are planning to come to the weekend away would be available to help at this event if they can... =)

Iain's leaving doooooo
SO as you probs know Iain is retiring at the end of the month 'n we have a leaving do for him on the 29th...
and the youth are doing stuff for it...
So if you already have a ticket for the event (if you've not then you've probs missed out by now sorry coz they were going really fast!) 'n want to be involved then please come to the church at 7pm THIS Sunday (16th Aug)...

after some discussion today - we've decided to offer a subsidy for those 16+ for going to Frenzy this year...
The original price was £30 but we are willing to bring that down to £23 - what it was last year, in order to enable more to come... This includes all attending that are not in full-time employment.
if you're interested in coming then let me know by the very latest Tuesday 23rd Feb. =)
Those who have already paid will be reimbursed for the extra money...

Should we have a 24 hour event this year?

There's been much debate amongst the youth leaders (and the youth management team) about whether we will have a 24 hour event this year and for the moment we are NOT having one. In 2008 a few disappointing things happened which left some of the youth leaders rather disappointed...
However..... i'm aware that some folk have been asking me about the event and when it's happening and i feel i should give you all the opportunity to share your thoughts on whether we should go ahead with one or not...
Things which could potentially get in the way of an event happening this year... they are:
1- having enough leaders to supervise you all
2- whether it would be a sponsored event and therefore what we would be doing to be sponsored and how much we understand the need for that charity and our willingness to help it.
However, if there were a large enough group who were really wanting to do something then i'll see what i can do...
So what do you all think? this is your opportunity to say your piece... without it this opportunity will probably pass us by.

Hi folks... just so you're aware... although i'm going to be at mid-week groups over the next couple of weeks, i won't be around for the next 2 weekends as i'm away at a Conference and then a training weekend. haha. i got in the door at 7pm last night (having not been home since 2pm on Friday) and within 30mins had fallen asleep on my bed... still with my clothes on... only just woke up again 15 mins ago and i'm STILL knackered... see what you all do to me
