Kenmure Youth represents all of the youth groups which meet at Kenmure Church in Bishopbriggs in Glasgow... they're a cheery bunch *heheh*

What's happening...

Groups are off for the summer! Hopefully see you again in the new term!
+ Bible Class - during sunday morning worship - starts at 11:15am (p7-s6).
+ Anathallo - 7:30pm-9:30pm after sunday evening services (s1-s6).
+ Youth Band - every Monday night 7:30-9pm (S1-S6)
+ TTNP - every fortnight on a Thursday 7:45-9pm (P7-S3)

+ 5th July - Services now at 10:30am

by the way... we do not condone or encourage the use of bebo by anyone under the age of 13

    Hi folks....

    Some of us at Kenmure are intending to meet up for a few days at the beginning of the summer for some bible study... I'm not sure what we'll be studying yet, but this is the plan...

    Monday 29th June - Friday 3rd July.

    Starts @ 10am each day

    Breakfast provided if ya want...

    You don't HAVE to be there every day (although that may help for continuity) you can come and go if you'd prefer...

    Would be gd to know in advance if you're intending to come at any point so i know how much breakfast stuffs to have... XD

  • Chris M's Baptism...

    Hi folks - just to let you know that Chris M has decided to get baptised and join the church. Because he has asked to get baptised by full immersion rather than sprinkly this requires a tank, and so Bishopbriggs Community church have been kind enough to allow us to use their tank.

    Therefore, the baptism won't take place during a normal Kenmure Service. Instead it is taking place on the evening of 2nd June 2009 at 7pm at the Community Church... It will be a short service, but promises to be a God-Filled and blessed evening.

    I'm hoping that as many young people as possible will make the effort to come along, especially now that the organisations are no longer operating. FYI the youth band will also be leading the worship during the service.

    This doesn't happen very often, and it's certainly a first since i've been around, so please do come along =)

    Hi folks...

    after some discussion today - we've decided to offer a subsidy for those 16+ for going to Frenzy this year...
    The original price was £30 but we are willing to bring that down to £23 - what it was last year, in order to enable more to come... This includes all attending that are not in full-time employment.

    if you're interested in coming then let me know by the very latest Tuesday 23rd Feb. =)

    Those who have already paid will be reimbursed for the extra money...

    happy times!

  • Should we have a 24 hour event this year?

    Hi folks...

    There's been much debate amongst the youth leaders (and the youth management team) about whether we will have a 24 hour event this year and for the moment we are NOT having one. In 2008 a few disappointing things happened which left some of the youth leaders rather disappointed...

    However..... i'm aware that some folk have been asking me about the event and when it's happening and i feel i should give you all the opportunity to share your thoughts on whether we should go ahead with one or not...

    Things which could potentially get in the way of an event happening this year... they are:
    1- having enough leaders to supervise you all
    2- whether it would be a sponsored event and therefore what we would be doing to be sponsored and how much we understand the need for that charity and our willingness to help it.

    However, if there were a large enough group who were really wanting to do something then i'll see what i can do...

    So what do you all think? this is your opportunity to say your piece... without it this opportunity will probably pass us by.

    Hi folks... just so you're aware... although i'm going to be at mid-week groups over the next couple of weeks, i won't be around for the next 2 weekends as i'm away at a Conference and then a training weekend. Stuff is going on as usual of course... just remember and be nice to your leaders though *wink* xxx

    haha. i got in the door at 7pm last night (having not been home since 2pm on Friday) and within 30mins had fallen asleep on my bed... still with my clothes on... only just woke up again 15 mins ago and i'm STILL knackered... see what you all do to me :P
