Kencol's Crazy County Odyssey
- Motto
- Night Shift Ramblings
- Ich über mich
- Once upon a time on a bored night shift, It was decided to par-take in a county town challange. Involving taking in all the 33 county towns in 48hours, before you all go mad at me, i know there is only 32 counties, but Tipperary has a North and South Riding (the dirty things).
We are driving around in a 94 Nissan Micra!! No mod cons included, not even room, and we might have to do a Flintstone on it by the end of the trip.
We have decide to salvage our souls a small bit and do this in aid of charity, still undicided which one, but will inform you all soon..

Kencol's CCO an overview
von
Darragh Collins
Ok guys, we have selected our 2 charities and all donations will be divided evenly between them and they are:0 Antworten 73 Wochen
The Irish Cancer Society and
The Irish Hospice Foundation.
Donations can be made through the mycharity.ie site, here's the link: http://www.mycharity.ie/event/kencol...
On the days of the event as we are running around the towns like crazed lunatics looking for monuments and buildings we have never seen before we will also be selling lollipops for what ever you think is a fair price. That will be between you and your maker but it had better be more than a euro. Only kidding, well not really. Am I giving out mixed messages? Let me make it clear. Hand over the dough or the Sunflower and the Daffodil will get you.
The event will be taking place from 7am Wednesday the 27th of August to approx 12 midday Friday the 29th of August. We have an itinerary worked out which we will be putting up as soon as we decide on the best format.
If you can make it out to cheer us along or maybe just point and laugh, please feel free, in fact we encourage you to. Bring a friend, bring two. Bring a packed lunch and make a day of it.
Hopefully we will source a roaming internet connection so will will be able to upload pics as we reach each town so it means you will be able to keep up to date with our progress.
We will need your help on a few matters also. As always it would be great if you could tell all your friends and try to get them interested in emptying their wallets/credit cards and showing up on the day to buy some lollipops. Send them on the link to this group, we also have one on Bebo which we will include in case your friends are only over there.

Before the big day we need suggestions as to what monument or building in each town we should take a pic of to identify it. So if you are from Lifford and know the one thing that is unique to the town, let us know. The popular concensus will be announced closer to the 27th. So leave a comment and lets get rolling.

Darragh Collins66 Wochen herWE'VE DONE IT!!! We parked up on Merrion Square at 12:35 and walked to the Spire on O'Connell Street. Took our final pictures at 13:05 at the Spire. We are so tired the brains have disconnected. Heading back home and probably won't be back on line for a couple of days, much sleep to catch up on.
Just like to say a big thank you to everyone who sponsored us, told their friends about us or did anything to help us or the charities. Check us out in a few days and we will tell you more of the journey.
