Me, Myself, and I
Joe still lives with his family in South Shields; he started singing a few years ago after playing around on a karaoke machine.

Since then, he’s performed in a few local musicals (including Grease) and entered the ‘Music Means Life’ competition in 2008. This is a regional singing competition in the North-East and he came 3rd – he’s also entered ‘Pride of Tyne Side’ competition and won ‘Performer of the Year’.

He entered The X Factor in 2007 and reached Bootcamp but decided to leave the competition as he felt he was too young and wanted more experience (hence entering lots of local competitions). Since then he feels he made the right decision and is very happy to be back on The X Factor in 2009.

  • Joe's Blog - Back from Cyprus

    Hi Everybody,

    Sorry it’s been a while. I finally got back from Cyprus after being stuck there for four extra days.

    I’m writing this from London as I’m down for a few meetings. On Monday night, I went to see ‘An Audience with Michael Buble’ where Michael performed a set of his songs to a studio audience for a show on the telly. I took along one of my fans Sophie who was lovely. It was great to spend some quality time with her and we had a brilliant night. We both had a chat with Michael also which was great.

    Yesterday I did a photoshoot for a fashion magazine. It’s fun to try on different clothes and pose for the camera – I’ll let you know when the photos come out!

    Tonight we’re going to see Cheryl and the Black Eyed Peas at The O2 – can’t wait!!

    Hope you all get tickets to the Radio One’s Big Weekend as I’d love to see you all there.

    Hey guys, so I'm here in Cyprus and have had a week’s holiday and a chill out after the tour. I’ve spent the entire time snorkelling, eating seafood and sleeping! But, as you may know, I'm now stuck - due to the volcano ash my flight has been cancelled! But, never mind, a couple more days in the sun shouldn't do me any harm lol. Also I want to say thank you to everyone who entered the ‘win a day’ with me competition!

    Congratulations to Sophie! So sorry we won't be able to go to the premiere tomorrow but we will do something else that's fun really soon! When I eventually get back…ha ha! For everyone else, we’ll do more competitions on the website soon. Can't wait to get into the studio and record the album…its all getting very exciting!! Hope to see you all soon.
