5. Scorpions

i didnt discover these guys till about 2 weeks ago. bought live album "Live Bites" they playing in mexico city and they are fucking good. rite after listening to first song on the album (tease me please me) i was like dayum i gotta dl their songs bt then after i dl'd them - it turned out their songs sound way better live than they do on record lol thats fucking moean

4. Avenged Sevenfold

like scorpions - i should have listened to these guys as soon as i heard their name in 2007. i missed out on quite a bit. but this year they got some mean reviews for their live shows, so i went and checked out their live vids on youtube. as soon as i saw their cover of walk (pantera) i knew they were frickin awesome. shadows is a mean singer recommend : afterlife + scream

3. Slayer

i had heard raining blood in 2007 thanks to wong lol n i thought that i had these guys figured out pretty wel. bt then i heard seasons in the abyss - n i had a completely new view on these guys. tom araya mite b pretty mild as both a vocalist n a bassist, but jeff hanneman is def a underrated guitarist (kerry king being the overrated one lol), bt wot reli caught me into slayer was dave lambardo seasons of the abyss may hav wel contained the best drumming i hav ever heard in a while

2. Dethklok

an animated band to outdo the gorillaz? i never thought it was possible - till i heard dethklok. again - like most of wot i like - wong got me into the duncan hills coffee jingle. at first i thought it was pretty average (only the lyrics being slightly funny). and then after a while i got bored on the net and started to look up dethklok episodes. i heard the dhcj again and i was like holy shit these guys r awesome. bt i gues its nt 'these' guys. cos all the guitar and lyric work is done by brendon small. fucking genius he is. recommend : awaken mustakrakish + thunderhorse + bloodrocuted (random i kno bt its fucking mean)

1. Metallica

metal. up. your. ass. i knew a lot of metallica songs in 2007 - but wot got me reli into them was their release of death magnetic. it was a fucking gud album (saz jameskees go listen to all hope is gone u foo ). after listenin to dm i watchd a lot of their live shit on youtube. s&m and the san diego binge n purge shows became my favorite n after watching those i found alot more songs like creeping death n ride the lightning. im nw waiting for them (in vain) to come to nz for a show dammit! i must see rob's crab walk onstage!!
