Golspie, in the Scottish Highlands, is the home of The JACKS, a talented family of musicians with a hugely popular international reputation. The JACKS consists of two original members of the former top British country music group COLORADO, Geordie Jack and Dado Duncan, joined by Geordie’s two grown-up sons Kevin and Trevor Jack.
By public demand, they are actively going from strength to strength, with fresh recordings and high-energy performances at festivals in the U.K. and Europe this year and next. The JACKS excite their audiences with a wide range of self-penned material and popular favourites. They stir their audiences with their up-tempo songs and tunes, doubling up on vocal harmonies and instrumentals featuring banjo, mandolin and fiddle on top of a solid back-line drums, bass, acoustic and lead guitars. Constantly changing lead instruments adds variety to their solid tight harmonies. Very much a professional standard country based band with folk and rock influences.

Seen the band live?

Hey! Great to see you guys on bebo! I remember Geordie & Dado from the Colorado days, when Alan Murphy played drums :O My Father used to play in Route 65 and I enjoyed many a night watching the antics of the guys on stage. Got a couple of VHS videos I think......Haggarston Castle springs to mind.

oh lads that version of Makin' Friends out of strangers with G Hamilton IV brings back so many happy tails Davie would tell about I think it was called the "Festival of Western and Easten Music" in Hungray - :) aaahh happy days

and also must say about the Green Fields of France I visited them a few years ago and the words were up most in my mind as I saw for the first time in my life the fields of white headstones .. a very moving slight

Well finally found you guys on bebo.. been trying for ages ..!!

I know your now the Jacks but to me will always be "COLORADO"
the story of the band been stuck in the Waterford Hotel in Grantown on Spey and playing for your supper is now fokelaw...

and enjoyed many a show with my late father (Davie Clark) in the Strathspey Royal British Legion Scotland or at the Grantown Farmers Show's esp. when my mum's Cousin - Davie Duff was in the band - but even after Davie's passing, was still a thrill to see the lads playing in my home town.

Just notied in the photos - the limited DVD that is out pls pls pass on details how I can get a copy, never knew about it! the only bit of film I have and treasrer of Davie - is this ..

Hiya hoping you can help me out my dad Dave Farquhar is looking to get another copy of the dvd you did called 'looking back' which went back to the start of the band as Colorado. And im hoping you guys could help me track one down

My auntie is looking for a copy, but my dad is loath to give his away :D They all grew up in Golspie too and knew the original line up quite well.
