- Jackalfeud are a four piece rock band from Ballymena. Formed many moons ago in order to rid the world of evil and injustice, soon got bored and settled into writing some honest 'no frills' hard rock/metal songs.
We still have some copies of our latest release "Blood & Wires" for sale, so if you like the sound of the MP3s and would like to purchase a copy you can head over to our website or pick one up from us at a show. Visitors from outside Europe/UK can get it from Very Distro.
Currently we are writing and demoing songs for our next cd, things are going well and we will hopefully be testing some of the newer tracks at gigs during the next few months....any feedback will be appreciated.

Just a little update on the year
So yeah, it's been a while since we posted a blog but seeing as the years finally winding down it seems as good a time as any to recap.
It's hard to believe our latest CD is just over 1 year old now. Although we've been proper lazy on the gig front this year due to clashing work schedules and what not, this disc has got us further than we probably ever thought we'd go. We'd like to thank all the publications and websites that offered it very fair and complimentary reviews - as well as the DJ's at BBC Radio 1, Ulster and Foyle for playing Jackalfeud on national radio. It's not uncommon to hear or read about Northern Irish bands these days in the national media, what with the continuing rising standard of music here - but it's not something we ever thought we'd see/hear and certainly not something we take for granted. A BIG thank you to BBC 2 and ATL TV. They know why. And of course a big thank you to everyone who's ever so much as stopped on this page and given our songs a chance. We've been humbled by some of the comments on the new material this year and we hope to raise the bar for you all next year.
We still have some stuff lined up before the end of the year awaiting confirmation. We'll let you know what we're on about soon enough.
Anyways, next year will see a much more motivated JF on the gig front with our first proper tour the top of our priorities. Our first show of the year sees us return to our hometown's new Arts Centre (formerly Town Hall) on the 10th January with some excellent local talent so be sure to come down to that and help us kick start 2009!
Whilst not gigging we have still been busy playing writing some new tunes. Those of you at the last hometown show will have heard the first play of new song 'Fauxtality' and we're trying to finish off another for the next show. We'd really like to push for an album this year and we'll keep you updated with how it all progresses.
Yeah, this is a long ass update but hey, it's been over a year…please stop by and tell us how you all are. ---Ryan0 Comments 180 weeks
